Seems to be a lot of mixed messages regarding this as they've also said on their twitter they will be issuing hourly slots.

8am is fine, 8pm is not! I'll be out of work 6-6:30

Just read the same on their official twitter.... "you should receive an SMS confirming a 1 hour window"

My local UPS driver looks like the T-1000 from Terminator 2

Looking forward to seeing him tomorrow :)

My word, I'll be scared to open the door  :D

Hi,

I ordered 6 Plus 128GB Space Grey from EE at around 8:30 on Friday.
I have received a text from EE saying I will get it on Saturday and a text from DPD saying they are delivery it tomorrow. The tracking from DPD seems to point to a delivery tomorrow though, so I'm inclined to believe them more.

You may just have to wait a bit longer for a text and hopefully get it later on this evening. Good luck!

Mines a plus and I got the text this morning . Although it was sent to my wife's number instead of mine , it's quite amusing that I have been slating EE all week for lack of communication and all week long they've been sending messages to her and she only told me today .

At the end of the day, I don't really mind WHEN it comes, I just want a text from DPD/EE saying it's somewhere haha... every other network can somewhat track their orders, all EE has is my upfront cost as credit on my account. I'll wait a few hours and see if I'm lucky...

EE........ :(

hugely unimpressed with them

Popped into their Carnaby street store last Friday lunchtime on the off chance I could make an upgrade preorder for a Space grey 64GB (having made the poor decision to only try the applestore app in the morning and getting a 30th September delivery date). Was told it would be no problem, that they hadn't been that busy or made many preorders (I was the 15th person apparently)

I gave all the relevant info and a £10 deposit and was told that I'd be getting a call on thursday (today) to arrange a convenient time to do the paperwork on the 19th, and an email and SMS when my phone was ready. I got an email 10 minutes after leaving saying

Thank you for your pre-order of the Apple iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey
Here are the details of your order:
customer name: xxxxxx
mobile number:xxxxx
email address: xxx
transaction number: xxxx
paid by: Card - £10
An email and SMS will be sent out when the handset is in stock.
Thanks
EE store

Popped in this lunchtime and said I hadn't been called and the girl behind hte counter looked at me like I was mad and said "We haven't got time to call everybody, there's been too many, we're not calling anyone" and that I could "try my luck" tomorrow morning and that it "should be OK if you ordered early enough" and that only people who had preordered would be served.

No email, no call, no SMS all of which were promised; I also asked at least ten times if there was definitely enough stock to cover my preorder and was told it would be fine, they definitely had way more phones coming in than they needed.

Slightly different story today; all in all pretty crappy customer service, will pop by tomorrow morning but I think it's going to be a bit of a mess.

My UPS parcel is in Hinckley, which is about less than 10 miles from Leicester... Hopefully i will get my delivery early in the morning....

So hopefully if you've signed up to texts from Apple, you should also get texts from UKMail.

I only got an email from Apple regarding dispatch, no text at all.
My mobile is in my AppleID profile though.
Is there another option regarding texts I've missed?

[Edit: Found it! Order Status, edit the Delivery Notifications. Hadn't spotted that!!]

Exactly my experience. Will be leaving them if no phone tomorrow.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I got only email also, is no different than the text, I wouldn't worry mate :)

use the 309xxxxxxxx delivery tracker code from your Apple page.

just comes back as no results

Put the 309xxxxxxx in "Consignment / card number"
and
Put the 8xxxxxx in "Customer reference"
then put your post code, worked for me that way.

the 309* number has disappeared off my Apple order details now, but rain's alternative works for me.
Just the 8* in Customer reference, and Postcode in postcode box...
Once you see the detail, it shows the consignment number if you do so wish to make note.

Oh, that works too now, earlier it did not :)

I pre-ordered a Plus 128GB Space Grey with EE last Friday. Their systems seem to have failed them for this launch. I received a confirmation email from them directly after pre-ordering which had all the wrong information on so I had to call them up and they sent an updated one. I'd suggest giving them a call, there is no excuse for them to not give you a detailed confirmation email for something you have spent a lot of money on. If you get an awkward operator on the other end, don't take any excuse from them if they say they can't help (ask to speak to a supervisor or manager! - be prepared for a wait in the call queue though.)

Hope I've helped. Good luck.

Thanks I spoke to an operator and he confirmed the order was correctly made - Just no updates/confirmation provided.

Did you pre-order online as a new customer? Apparently that is the only case for them to send out confirmation e-mails, not if you upgrade over the phone like I did

Thanks. No update for me yet on there! Just a ">>>UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again" message.

In the last hour my UPS page has changed to "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

Still working on the basis it's coming from China and not the UK given the fact I have been and always was quoted "Dispatched: 7- 10 business days" when looking at my order on Apple.com, however there is nothing on the UPS page at present which confirms it's location. We will see!

Update: The shipping product is something called 'World Ease' and the service is 'UPS Worldwide Express Saver®' - so I'm pretty sure it's coming from China and not the East Midlands! Oh well hopefully Monday it is...

Hey,

I've been following this thread since post number 1, but I've got a question of my own:

To those of you selling their iPhone 5s, who are you selling it to? And where is the best place to sell it to so I get a maximum return?

My 16GB iPhone 6 is being delivered by UPS tomorrow, ordered at 09.05 via the app on Friday morning and I got my dispatch notification at 19.57 last night. It is now showing 'In Transit' by the UPS app and the phone is in Tamworth - so down the road from me  (Just in case anyone wondered what the hell is happening with their phone etc)

Im selling mine via the Apple recycling programme been quoted £270 which is far more than any other company.

Changed my contract with O2 and done the sim swap...
But now my Wi-Fi is out and I'm stuck with personal hotspot for the time being.

I'm an existing customer and upgraded over the phone. When I called a second time they were able to tell me that it was being picked and sent out for delivery on Friday (tomorrow).
