Well my slot from UK mail has come and gone with no sign of the phone. I'm working today and my mum wants to go out. She's house sitting!

In the preorder queue now at Regent Street store. Pretty long as it is, glad I'm not in the general queue.
Seems pretty organised though, they're turning away people who don't have a reservation email for the correct time slot.

First impressions then -

as someone who uses a passcode lock, coming from a 5, I haven't gotten into the habit of using touch ID.

i can't easily reach top left, and I have average sized hands for a guy of 5'10

lovely tho.

Just went to get a case from the Leeds apple store. Not a huge queue, but I have no idea what it was like earlier or what stock levels are now. Plenty of cases though - online order cancelled.

supposedly landed on time :)

Well I was completely wrong!

How are you liking the HiRise? I have one that ought to have been delivered today, but the postie has already been. Bah.

I actually really like it. Had it for a wee while and I find it sturdy, well made and nice and easy to access the device.
I really wouldn't fault it, pricey maybe for what is after all just a dock but you do get the quality you pay for.
Plus it's handy having it so easily adjustable for different devices and cases.

If I remember correctly from last year, Dubai, Cologne, Stansted/East Midlands.

Geeking out a bit and should probably just grow up... but per http://www.hongkongairport.com/flightinfo/eng/cargo_dep.html (my UPS status mentioned Chek Lap Kok in an earlier update) if our phones are going via Dubai, they either left today at 11:31 (04:31 BST) or they will be leaving on Sunday at 03:25 (Saturday evening at 20:25 BST). If they were on the earlier flight, then given it takes 8 hours, I guess we'd see tracking data from Dubai in the next few hours. In all likelihood though, I'd work on the basis it's the Sunday flight.

Anyone by any chance been to the Victoria Square Apple store today? Any iPhone 6 cases knocking about?

Is anybody at this store? I just want to know if you can go in and play with the new phones - or is it just too rammed with the queues etc?
I just wanna see 'em!

I just went into the Leeds one - the crowds are managed as the queues are kept away from the shop doors. I'd say it was at its usual lunch time business inside.

Same here, though I am getting used to it, the same can be said for the side power/lock button.

It will feel all natural once I've used it a bit more though.

It's here! iP6+ 128GB Space Gray. Delivered in scheduled hour slot by UK Mail in North London. :D Hoping restoring from iCloud won't take hours. :apple:

My two are out for delivery with DPD - should be delivered between 13:36 and 14:36

iPhone 6 Gold 64 GB
iPhone 6 Silver 64 GB

I ordered at 20:00 last Friday with EE over the phone...

What do people recommend; restore from an iCloud backup (I'm running iOS 8 on my current iPhone 5) or set it up as a new phone?

I may have had my new 6 since 8am, but due to EE giving me a new SIM, I can't leave the house without both phones (my old 5 and new 6) as its still yet to swap over to the new SIM
