Normal queue is still horrendous, even pre order queue is bad, just got in store after almost hour waiting and there is a big snaking queue in store as well.

No info on stock levels for general purchase

That is poor that there is no information as to stock level; I am surprised they are not more transparent as to stock level to save time for people. Not very Apple?

What is your definition of a scalper?

Someone that sells them for profit straight away?

I would go with the official definition:

verb (used with object)
7.
Informal.
to resell (tickets, merchandise, etc.) at higher than the official rates.
to buy and sell (stocks) so as to make small quick profits.

And then the unofficial:

Person with low morals, one who takes advantage of less fortunate to make a minor profit at that persons expense.

Take your pick. :)

Just got red case for my 6+ arriving Monday or Tuesday :D
I went to the Apple Store in Regent Street... Well, they have tons of iPhone behind the genius bar, but the queue is MASSIVE  You have to queue even if you want to try the new iPhone on the desks lol I mean, it's crazy...
So happy I chose the Plus, it's big yes, but it fits amazingly in my hands as I'm used with a Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 6 + is only a few mm larger and 1/1.5cm taller. Can't wait to get it! :D

My friend and I from Leicester (3 of us) using UPS still havent got our delivery yet.... Anyone here from leicester got theirs??

What happen to UPS? Leaving Leicester to the last delivery???

On way home from Regents Street pick up. Still masses of people queuing.

Got in store in line for reservations and had to report one guy who pushed in. Whilst I was being served same guy tried again and according to apple employee he's tried loads of times and even changed his clothes!
Apparently the digital reservation done for those turning up on the day has thrown the scalpers and changing clothes and coming back has been a tactic for a few to get more phones! Unbelievable and loads of them

The iPhone 6 is actually lighter than I thought, loving the new screen.

I've got the same scans as you guys as well, we're all on the same shipment it seems......hope we get an update on the actual day soon! :)

Although all my emails/texts from Apple that came during the night said I would have it on the 23rd, even when I logged into the website earlier today it still said 23rd. It is now saying 22nd on Apple's site.

I guess my definition would be someone that is solely there to turn a profit; I am in two minds if it is necessarily wrong or just the market response to demand.

I spoke to one guy (who was in front of my friend) that brought his whole family (mum; grandmother; cousins) to all get as many as possible as he was off to India next week to sell them on. They had an empty suitcase with them, apparently according to my friend they managed to fill the suitcase up.

My friend also told me he saw so-called ‘ring masters’ standing outside of the queue with large bags collecting the devices off others and telling them to rejoin the queue.

Again is this wrong or just demand?

Personally think its wrong. They are not genuine customers but looking to make quick buck. Don't say ban them forever just not on opening weekends so that genuine people who will use it can get them

There are people walking the queue and asking what phone they want. They then send you an email or text to confirm you have a phone and you can come back at any time in the day to pickup

Never understood the queuing or scramble.

Got a call from my local Vodafone shop - I had my contract upgrade preorder (on Monday) sent to the store as was flying home this morning.

I walked in to a small group of people pestering the staff about why they had no phones and staff saying "noones getting any for a week or so sorry". And the manager comes over and hands me my 6 silver 128 :D

They also had a demo 6+ in gold I store but my god! the size of it and colour....ugh.

This is taking the piss now... 4th van today and this time it's DPD!!!

that sounds a cool system; how come the queue is so long if they are operating such a plan? could you not just leave and come back if they have the stock?

I think I do lean to your take on scalpers; but I understand for Apple is possibly low down on their concerns. Within reason, a sale is a sale.

HAHAHA! That CCTV is epic!

No worries, mine area been visited already by UPS, DPD, Royal Mail & custom company from Croydon. -.-

Not happy.

Have my phone reserved at Manchester Apple Store between 1-2. Just arrived to a MASSIVE queue for reservations which, according to staff, is over an hour long. As I have a 1hr lunch break at work I will have to come back later.

Apparently my order will be available up until 8pm.

Hope it is.

Hoping Spigen release a new glass screen protector soon covering the whole screen.

I noticed when scrolling on music using the list of letters at the side it was harder due to the protector ending right on the edge of the display.
