Last year you could not preorder before launch and there were no reservations for collection from their stores. Waits for online orders were 3-6 weeks pretty much from the start. Customers were told to turn up at stores each day to see if there was stock (only you had to arrive first thing and queue with the scalpers and there might not be any stock!) Scalpers were also able to get two phones each and rejoin the queue once they had bought their allocation.
I reserved my phone for collection in one of the Apple stores and I was able to do this on the day preorders went live. There was still stock available of the 6 the following day too so it wasn't like the stock was so limited that people didn't have a chance. It was speculated that the 6+ would have limited stock.
Can't view the status of my order, hopefully a good sign but wasn't expecting it until 14th Oct
Same,expecting mine 10th-17th but reckon we might get it abit early. Been trying to reserve one but because I'm after the plus it's pretty much impossible:lol

Wouldn't get your hopes up for a change of status, just looks like either the order tracker is down for maintenance or had an outage.

When did you guys all order? I ordered on the 15th as I already had a preorder with phones4u before their collapse 🙁
I had no idea you could track it, now I'm interested to see where mine is because I've got an estimate delivery of 13th - 20th October

My order was just 50 minutes right after pre-order started and got 10-17 Oct Delivery time. If there will be any change in delivery time I should be one of the first ones to get that date. I will let you know if any change happens.

I ordered just after 9am on the 12th and got 9th-17th Oct. It seems there wasn't much point in getting up early to try to get one!

Yep it's truly an incredible device. The best iPhone Apple has ever made. From the build quality to the gorgeous display and that amazing camera, this phone will not disappoint. Those of you tracking planes and delivery trucks I can totally understand. You're gonna love your new iPhones when they arrive. Keep refreshing!!! 🙂
Take it we should get it in the order we placed it then,ordered mine at 8:30.
I did the same. Takes 5 minutes, they get you to disable find my iPhone check it over for water damage and defects then you erase it. They put the value on a gift card to then go against the purchase.
I would have got £150 from CEX for my config of iPhone 5 - got £125 from Apple. Figured the hassle of trying to get cash from CEX was not worth the extra money.
I don't know how but I didn't pre-order mine until Monday 15th Sept and it's in Dubai now on it's way to me.. It's scheduled for delivery tomorrow 🙂
All I can say is if your phone isn't expected until around the 15th - 17th Oct, it will arrive at the beginning of October. My original delivery date was between 1st Oct - 6th but it's changed to 22nd Sept!

Thanks for that. Ill see what apple offer and if it's not up to much take it to cex as there both near each other anyway
Cex offered 211 for my iphone 5 16gb (it was a brand new replacement from apple from a defective sleep/wake button with the plastic still on) I put it on ebay with a BIN price of £330 at midnight and it had sold by time I checked it at 9am the next morning. Might still be worth sticking it on ebay...
