Yep, basically I reserved 2 iphones on saturday. One at Meadowhall (local), one at Watford, London (mental).

On the way to Watford, around Peterborough, Meadowhall phoned and said they were really sorry and wanted to send me a £25 voucher. I made it clear I wasn't going to take the reservation anyway, but they insisted I get the voucher anyway. Meadowhall also said Watford had the same issue, but I'd need to call them to sort.

Tried to - couldn't get through.

Decided to try for Watford anyway, so carried on. Literally outside intu Watford, the senior manager called to tell me the bad news. I explained I'd come a long way, tried to be annoyed but polite, and said I'd take any Plus and if not spot on, just return it within 14 days. He was happy with this, and said he'd ring around.

Went in, and he said he'd got a 128gb plus from some emergency stock which he would sell me, give me £25 off it and any case I wanted. Awesome!

Since then, as described here I've switched to a 6 non-plus, and amazingly, and awesomely Meadowhall agreed to switch my goodwill plus case for a iphone 6 case (no receipt so had to manager who was fine!)

I know we've come to expect it - but thats seriously awesome from apple, and you wouldn't get it anywhere else.

I ended up with £50 voucher in total, and a free case. So I effectively paid £559 for a 64gb iphone and leather case!

How did Watford know about your voucher from Meadowhall?

I've been promised the same offer from the bullring, but Im going to manchester (a lot closer) to pick one up tonight.

Did they just take your word for it or was it marked against your Apple ID?

They didn't? Got case + £25 from watford, and £25 from Meadowhall.

Sorry missed the questions.... 1) They asked for my name. Didn't ask for ID. Pretty sure you'd need to goto bullring UNLESS you get an understanding manager or maybe ring them from the manchester store? I received an email saying the management team as a group had my name, and it wouldn't be a problem to go in anytime and pick it up. I guess then, your name WILL be in bullring somewhere, so manchester could liase with them?

Which gives me a boring geeky idea... what apple stores have you been to?

I've been to: Meadowhall, Highcross Leicester, Metro Centre, Trafford Centre, Regent Street, Covent Garden, Watford, Bristol Cabot Cirus/Quakers

8. That's pretty sad... but I bet you lot can better it...

update for any three customers that haven't cancelled due to the long wait were having for the iphone 6 and 6+

my order is due to be delivered on the 3rd oct but i noticed that on the three website they have stock available for next day delivery and a friend has just ordered and getting hers tomorrow

so i contacted three and they said yes stock had arrived but they weren't going for the older orders they were going to new upgrades or new customers. i asked why this was happening and he didn't know. He did say i could cancel my upgrade and then rebook it but it would be a 24 hr wait for cancellation and in that time stock could have been exhausted and so it could be later than the 3rd if i did that. i won't be going via three the next upgrade i'll go through the sim free option.

Does anyone have three customer complaints email address ?
 
And I'm just sitting here with my still empty iphone 6 case :(

Reserved a 128GB SG 6+ from Cambridge at 00:05, and just got back from picking it up.

Still no offer of compensation for Saturdays cock-up though.

Just cancelled my online order, and delivery status hadn't changed from 10th - 17th.
