UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

Woke up, saw the specific model of iPhone 6plus was available at the Covent Garden store, reserved it for 6-7pm pick up. Made the trip to Central London, reached the place at 6pm, they tell me it's sold out as there were more reservations than actual units. What BS!
I don't think it's as simple as that. As far as I'm aware if you do that and don't disable "find my phone" then when the new owner tries to set it up they won't be able to as it will ask for a pass code set by the previous owner.
it works off your iTunes account which will be removed from your phone when you restore to factory settings.
If you want to feel safer just disable it before you erase the phone.

It actually won't let you do a restore with "find my iPhone" active. The procedure is to disable "find my iPhone" and then go to settings and do a "Erase all content and settings". That will completely wipe the phone.
Nice one...I ordered mine on the 12th Sept. I couldn't get through to Apple to check out what's happening. I'll give it till Monday now in the hope we'll see a change, though I'm doubtful :-(
Ahh thats a shame! Was it the 16gb model, because that was showing to be in stock for quite a long time?!

The in transit bit.. It now has out for delivery and delivered there. It's deffo not in Warsaw still.
Yup I just did mine last week .. Thankfully Fonebank had 'remove from find my iphone' on their instructions! That's the bit that's been added the past couple of years.

Hi everyone, Im a newbie on the boards but have been a regular follower of these forums. Im a BIG Apple fan, and usually stand by Apple wholeheartedly, but I have become increasingly annoyed by their Preorder system! I 'pre-ordered' on Sept 12th at around 11am, which was the first real opportunity I had to preorder, as their preorder system was a joke to say the least!! I have been given a 10th-17th Delivery, the money was requested from my account on Weds just gone, and is no longer in my account, and three days later im still on 'Processing Items'!! Ive been trying to get a 'reserve' phone but ive been unsuccessful, yet every single time I see the 'reservation' queue at Apple Stores, its full of people buying multiple phones at a time! I cant help thinking they will sell them on ebay and other auction sites at a huge profit, yet Apple's loyal customers are not getting looked after!!! What is the purpose of the Pre-order system?? I apologise for the rant, but I just wanted to air my opinions with like minded people, in the hope that someone will agree, and make me feel a bit better lol. Hope everyone is well and enjoying their new phones. They do look fantastic
Apple only allow two phones per apple ID regardless of what people might claim.I preordered too on the 12th around 9 and got a 10-17th date but was able to reserve and collect at the store last tuesday.I don't know if you have been told but here are my tips.1.Open the apple reserve page and make sure you save your password word on so you wouldn't need to enter it again to sign on.2.Next to that webpage make sure you have iphone6stockchecker.com next to it.3Immediately stock becomes available usually from 12 midnight or around 6 am -7am you reserve asap and choose an early slot.P.S check your account again to see if the money has been returned because apple don't usually debit till your stuff has shipped and don't cancel your order till you have the one in store in your hands

Astoundingly good!! Almost a reason to get the plus all on its own!
Once a week I use my phone a lot and with the 5S battery would be down to 55% by lunchtime. The 6 plus? 91% at lunchtime!!
Still loving it a week in, love the screen, love the way I can do apps sideways, love how fast it is and love watching TV/Netflix on it. It's a ridiculous size when I want to make a phone call, no denying that but I use it for 1% phone calls and 99% other stuff so it's fine and not too embarrassing

My date is 16th-23rd October, I ordered it last Saturday.
Did you kick up a fuss? I'd definitely try and get something out of them for that. BS.
Hey, I just wanted to ask anyone with a 6+..
When you take a photo, does it sometimes freeze just after pressing the shutter before the screen catches up again? I'm only talking for about half a second, but it's a big difference from no freezing at all (e.g. on my old 5).
