UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

When you take a photo, does it sometimes freeze just after pressing the shutter before the screen catches up again? I'm only talking for about half a second, but it's a big difference from no freezing at all (e.g. on my old 5).

What date did you have estimated originally?
 
Brilliant, I can finally order one and the site keeps failing.

Edit - Got it reserved for Covent Garden rather than Regent Street
 
The order I made at Apple has moved up quite a few times. It originally said a delivery estimate between the 8th and 13th of October. That then changed to say the 7th and 10th of october, then once UPS actually got the phone from Apple it changed to the 3rd of October and now my estimated delivery date is the 1st of October, aka Wednesday.

So it would appear if you order online you'll likely get it a lot quicker than their estimates. :)

I ordered the iPhone 6 64GB in Space Gray.

I was able to reserve mine with no problems at around 2am the other night, other stores will probably sell out faster, especially in London. Look back through this thread, there's a script you can set up to get notifications when stock comes in, then just reserve what you want.

Picking a time slot isn't too important if you're curious too.. they hold your reservation for 3 hours after your slot so you should be fine.

I need some advice. I managed to get my phone on Friday, with no thanks to the shambles of the pre order system. Judging by others on here, I would still be processing.

My phone is still in the box, not even set up yet

(crazy right).

I have done a fresh clean install of mavericks last night. Ready for Yosemite. And trying to get all my icloud and iTunes just right, ready to sync my phone.

My question is, I have 2 months left on my EE contract and I want out. I have been looking at three sim only deals and they look very attractive.

Trouble is, I don't know anybody who has experience in what their network is like. Don't really pay much attention to google reviews as it's full of complaints like any network.

I hear they share most towers with EE, is that correct?

I was thinking of starting up 2 plans. One for my iphone 6+ and one for my wife, an iPhone 5c pink.

I was then going to either pay off my EE contract or let it run it's course.

I don't want to make any rushed decisions though. I have bipolar so I tend to do that a lot.

Like dragging my wife on a 90 mile round trip at 3pm on a Friday afternoon so I can spend £789 on a phone.

Luckily I have a very understanding wife.

Though I did feel a bit embarrassed when we were standing in the reservations queue and turned to my wife to see here scowling into the apple store. I asked her what's the matter.

She replied.... "What a bunch of sad old men, I bet that would be you dream job wouldn't it?"

I just smiled ")

I think my phone was with yours, it had been showing departed Warsaw since yesterday and my tracking has all vanished too, it's just showing it's ready to be shipped.

What's going on?! ##

Mine is the same! My phone arrived in the UK at 4 am Saturday and the tracking didn't update after that. No I have tracked it today it says label created on the 25th. What the hell

Yep, that's what mine says label created on 25th, don't even have a estimated delivery date anymore

Yeah I know! Maybe technical fault? The annoying thing is we can't contact ups until tomorrow since their customer service only operates Mon-Fri!

Their twitter support will be back today at 8 am EST so 1 pm UK. Must be a fault online if more the one is having it

Just after posting that the tracking is back. Still no update from east midland airport though :(

Similar thing with mine last year when it suddenly updated when at final destination. I think that happens when it's completed its journey and is just a final checking of all the paperwork when it gets to the final handlers who will deliver.

Yeah just noticed it's back up .. No update from Warsaw in over 24 hours :( must be in UK now since the next bit at the top to fill green is out for delivery

Thank you kindly for your tips. I've been trying to get a reserve phone but Apple have now taken my money yet I'm still on processing items. I've become increasingly annoyed with the system, as they obviously are getting stock into stores, so why not give people who ordered a week in advance of the actual sale day, priority? Thank you so much for taking the time to pass on your tips, I will definitely go the reserve route next time #

Thanks for that got slightly worried! Don't know why it hasn't updated though. Probably will be out for delivery tomorrow then :)
 
Mine's back now, still saying departed Warsaw but at least it exists!
I'm holding out hope for delivery tomorrow too.
