Right people,
I need some advice. I managed to get my phone on Friday, with no thanks to the shambles of the pre order system. Judging by others on here, I would still be processing.
My phone is still in the box, not even set up yet
(crazy right).
I have done a fresh clean install of mavericks last night. Ready for Yosemite. And trying to get all my icloud and iTunes just right, ready to sync my phone.
My question is, I have 2 months left on my EE contract and I want out. I have been looking at three sim only deals and they look very attractive.
Trouble is, I don't know anybody who has experience in what their network is like. Don't really pay much attention to google reviews as it's full of complaints like any network.
I hear they share most towers with EE, is that correct?
I was thinking of starting up 2 plans. One for my iphone 6+ and one for my wife, an iPhone 5c pink.
I was then going to either pay off my EE contract or let it run it's course.
I don't want to make any rushed decisions though. I have bipolar so I tend to do that a lot.
Like dragging my wife on a 90 mile round trip at 3pm on a Friday afternoon so I can spend £789 on a phone.
Luckily I have a very understanding wife.
Though I did feel a bit embarrassed when we were standing in the reservations queue and turned to my wife to see here scowling into the apple store. I asked her what's the matter.
She replied.... "What a bunch of sad old men, I bet that would be you dream job wouldn't it?"
I just smiled ")
Hi, hope you're enjoying your phone now, how do you find the size of the plus?
I thought I'd let you know of my experience with 3. I've been with the network for many years now and Ive had a sim only 12 month contract for over a year or so. I previously had their Pay as you go sim. I love their sim only deal, as I currently pay £15 a month, and get something like 3000 texts, 600 minutes, and unlimited data. This works out perfect for me, as I use a lot of data. The only problem I've ever usually encountered is with low signal. Unfortunately where I live, there is a low signal, so call quality isn't the best. I contacted 3 and they sent me a box to attach to my internet box and it helps with call quality as it runs off the wifi signal whilst I'm at home. 3 have also recently introduced a new app called 'three inTouch' which works off the same principal, using your wifi signal to help improve call quality, when the signal is low within your home! I've been with O2 and orange in the past, and can honestly say I'm extremely happy with Three. their customer service has been very good, and I've found their coverage to be good too.
I've never been tied to a contract, as you usually end up paying much more over the contract term, plus you are tied down for the term too. If you can do it, I always recommend buying the phone you want sim free, and getting a sim free deal that suits you. You pay more initially, but in the long term, you are better off, and can change the phone, as and when you want.
