UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

After going to my local store and paying vodafone £409 on 19/9 and them giving me the wrong iphone 6 ( i wanted the plus not the standard one ) they now inform me that when they receive the old one I will have to re order all over again ….. ( took them al this time to send the old one back )

Utterly ridiculous , terrible service and sheer incompetence

Take note : avoid Vodafone UK

Me too. I guess all we can do is wait some more. My Estimated delivery date is still 10 Oct, 2014 - 17 Oct, 2014 though, I'm hoping this will change when it actually ships. ;)

If you're paying Vodafone that much up front.....aren't you better off just buying it outright from apple and then going SIM only?? You'll save so much money that way!
 
So if I buy a sim free iPhone from apple I can still use it with my vidafone contract ? Sorry I'm not really very clued up with all this stuff.

Yes just purchase iPhone from your local Apple store/Apple online store
Just pop your contract sim into your phone.

Three just sold way more phones than they had, and have been telling people, normally the day before, that they won't be getting them on time.
 
I dont get why people have been waiting for their 10-17 oct deliveries. I was one of that lot but iv had my phone since a week after the phone came out in Sept using the iphone6stockchecker.

Yes you can, didn't realise you still had a contract going with them tho.....if you are coming to the end of the contract I would just buy the phone outright and then downgrade your service to a much cheaper SIM only deal.....or better yet move networks altogether.....if you have a good signal from 3 in your area they do a £18 a month tariff which is 30 days rolling (can leave whenever you want giving a 30 day notice).....and you get something like 200 mins and unlimited texts unlimited data......or you can pay £15 a month for same deal but it's 12 monthly contract instead of 1 month.

But yea if you can afford to buy outright I would find out when your contract ends and then downgrade to something a lot cheaper. I found out that buying the phone over 2 years cost me just over a grand....wheras if i went through 3 direct paying them £99 for the phone and £58 a month that would cost me nearly £1500!!! Absolute rip off doing it that way, so i bought it from apple and kept my SIM only plan!

I'm on a sim only package from Three. £10 a month for 12 months for 5000 texts, 600 mins and 2000 3 to 3 minutes and 1GB of data. Once you're set up you can buy an unlimited data add on for £3. So £13 in total. So for a 64GB 6+ £1K over 24 months.

This is why I always go Sim free.
I currently paying £20 One plan three
and £15 pay and go
£35 FOR BOTH PHONES
Both are unlimited data

Why should I pay £60 month for vodafone with data limits too.

Just had shipping notification for my 6 Plus (Delivery 10th to 17th) but on checking their website it's showing estimated delivery for 13th Oct.

Why so long to arrive from China?

Can you confirm that you can add unlimited data for £3

I'm ashamed to say this but....I haven't opened it yet, it's still in its package :eek: I have a couple of jobs still to do then it will be my playtime, I will let you know later, but I'm pleased you love yours :):)
 
I've just noticed that for the past year three have only been charging me £10.10 for my 200 minutes and unlimited data package that's supposed to be £12.90. Seems they are applying a £3 recurring discount. Also its a 1 month rolling. No way I'm giving this baby up now :)
 
Does anyone know if the online reservation system for collecting an iPhone at the Apple store is accurate? i saw a iPhone 6 Plus on there which said available, yet when i clicked to reserve it, it said unavailable, so i went back to the menu and it was still listed as available.

I don't want to reserve one and then end up travelling to the Apple store to find out there isn't one for me, especially since i will need to cancel my online order with Apple.

Me too. They tried to sell me it for £18 a month, I said that I had heard other people for it for £15 a month, which they immediately agreed to match without any pushback at all.

do you have the option to add mins? ive got a sim only £10.50 a month unlimited data and texts but only 200 mins (discounted when i rang up think its usually £15), i dont have any option to add anything in my my3 account
