UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

Therapy needed... rage / pain / anguish / rage again

Hey guys,

I've been following this thread since I pre-ordered my 6+/128/sg slightly too late (apparently) on the 12th (about 8:52).

Eventually to dispatched, eventually to estimated delivery on the 2nd (took day off work, it didn't come), then to the 3rd (took another day off work), then out to delivery, then to delivered.

Except I'd been in and it hadn't come. Nothing through the door, no TNT truck ever appeared (I was perched at the window most of the day). Signed for by a name I don't recognise.

I just sat staring at the tracking page for a good 5 minutes, blinking in disbelief.


Have phoned Apple (we'll send a message to the delivery people and call you back within 48 hours), and TNT (we'll send a message to another department to find out what happened, we'll probably call you on Monday).

I don't understand how it can happen these days with all the handheld scanning and auto tracking.

My girlfriend admits she doesn't really understand (it's just a phone!), but suggested I actually sign up to macrumoUrs in the hopes of venting and getting over it. I admit to having sworn a lot in the last couple hours (quietly to myself). Just sucks knowing someone has my phone (legitimate mistake or otherwise).

EE are bloody useless. Ordered on the website, says 7 days delivery. Received a text two days ago saying it'll be with me in 21..

So my 64gb space grey iPhone 6 went from "processing items" to "preparing for dispatch" today - how long am I looking at before it gets dispatched?

People have been saying that due to Chinese holidays, nothing will change tip Tuesday next at least?

hey guys,

store still not getting any in sometime soon :mad:

phoned up and ordered my 64+ and in SG.

in stock, and DPD message tonight saying delivery on Monday.

canceled in store and the manager was fuming, not at me but at the stock allocation from net and stores!

Ordered with carphone warehouse on the 12th of Sep
They cancelled on the 14th citing 'out of stock' (what's the point of preorder then?)
Ordered again on 14th
Visited store after hearing nothing on the 29th "oh your order wasn't commited" huh????
Re-ordered, now should be getting phone on the 6th
Just had an email saying that I won't get my new phone until the 24th due to stock shortages.

Livid!

More disbelief!

A thoroughly decent Irish chap just buzzed on door saying he'd had a package wrongly delivered. I raced down the stairs, he handed it over (unopened etc), we had a mutual bitch about delivery companies, I shook his hand, and then he headed back out into the pouring rain.

Faith restored! Weekend unruined...

...now to open the phone and find out what's wrong with it ;)
 
Still processing / 14th-17th here, but the case and stand have arrived :p

Never picked them up from goods-in and I'm off work next week, hopefully they don't go walkies!

How far away from your nearest Apple Store are you? Really, unless you are in the Outer Hebrides, tell CPW to go whistle and buy one SIM free via the Apple reservation system.
 
Got mine today! Ordered at 8.49am on the 12th September and got an estimated delivery of 10-17th Oct, but now it's in my hands (should have been yesterday but it got delayed). iPhone 6 plus 64GB SG. Very happy with it so far! Got my case and tempered glass screen protector on, nothing's scratching this baby!

I don't know - but mine went to Preparing for dispatch around this time last night, so if it hasn't changed by morning, we will know that the holiday theory is probably true.....

I have the option under Add Ins. But it needs to be a 12 month contract.

Well guys, it's been a great week with the iPhone+ but today I returned it. It just didn't "fit" well with me.
Despite being beautiful and a fantastic device I didn't love it quite enough to justify the £780 cost of the phone and Applecare+.
I'll be emigrating soon and I think I'll consider an iPhone 6 once I've settled. I'm not detracting from the fact that the plus is a great device and I'm sure those still awaiting their devices will love it.

I'm just the opposite. Had my plus a week now but used the smaller 6 today. Wow it's small! (In comparison). Couldn't wait to get back to my plus. No going back now for me.
 
Is anyone who is still waiting for a phone after the 16gb iphone 6 (silver)? I bought one from PC world but I decided to go for the 6+ instead and because I opened it to have a look (silly me) they won't refund it... I don't want to be left out of pocket :(

Oh damn. So you've recieved a text at least indicating when you'll recieve it? When did you place the order?
