I ordered a iPhone 6+ on 20th September and it's still stuck at "processing items" i wonder if its worth calling Apple. But then again, i have read that they are having trouble keeping up with the demand for the 6+ because more people are buying it than they had anticipated. Apparently 60% of all sales.

I think most will return their 6+ phones for the smaller 6 once they realise its not that practical for everyday use. Its a novelty so people want to try it.

I went into a local vodafone shop and had a look at the 6 and 6plus in person. I am absolutely no further at deciding what to do. I think the 6plus is just too big, especially with having a 3G iPad mini. But the better battery life and camera are still pulling me in that direction slightly. The 6 looks absolutely perfect, a nice size, a beautiful screen but those two factors it is lacking.

On top of that I'd want to stay with Three and for my current contract it would be £50 a month and either £29 up front for the 64gb 6 or £99 for the 64gb 6plus. Which is an unbelievable amount of money.

The price between buying outright and that contract for the 6 is £130 cheaper to buy outright and £120 cheaper for the 6plus.

Apply for an interest free credit card and spread the cost of an outright sim free phone . That way you are still paying monthly like on contract but way cheaper. Once the gold rush calms down ( was around early January this year), apple often do a 10 month interest free option on checkout but this is a limited offer so need to be quick.

This was the reason why i didn't pre-order, I went to an Apple Store and played around with both the 6 and the 6+ and then made my decision, came home and ordered a 6+

It's one of those personal preference/requirements situations. Depends what you use your phone for. Larger screen and longer battery perfect for gamers for example. Someone like myself who just wants a slightly larger screen and no gamer , straight 6 perfect for me. However extra battery life does appeal. I think it's also an attempt to sway android users to Apple! 6 + perfect for hiding your face from someone you don't want to be seen haha!!

I have received an email & text message saying my 64 GB SG 6 Plus has been dispatched & est delivery by 20th.

I can track via TNT express delivery.

Could someone please post the link to this site so I can put the right numbers in etc so I can track its progress around the world ! I've tried to find but no joy.

Regards

James

Personally longer battery life is always good for me, since I'm always using my iPhone, music, photos, Internet browsing, emails and the odd game. At the moment I'm using an iPhone 5S,and I'm wondering how bigger a difference I will see in battery life with my 6+ compared to the 5S.

Mine has been in Arnhem since Friday, TNT think it will get to me by Wednesday. I was hoping it would be sooner but it doesn't look like there has been any movement :(

Looks like Apple gave them the estimated delivery date. TNT are probably holding them and prioritising other shipments that need to be delivered sooner.

Me too. I'd hoped it'd be in the UK by now and delivered on Monday, but it looks like we're going the full trip. :(

My TNT tracker hasn't updated since Thursday last, even though my phone is in the country 0 customs are holding it - why, i don't know.

has this ever happened anyone else?

I've been checking the UK reservation page for past few days but it never seems to add stock of the 6 with 64GB (in the London stores).

https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/GB/en_GB/reserve/iPhone/availability

Should I try to reserve it in a store? When do you guys think there will be more stock?

Yeah I've been doing the same but coming round to the idea of grabbing a 128gb version.

That's what you're essentially doing by going on that page no?

Or did you mean just go in store first thing and see if you can grab one then?

Yeah, I'm wondering if anyone has managed to pick up a 64 in store lately (without online reservation). I was in regent's street a few days ago and they said that they are receiving new stock ever day but so far I haven't seen any 64GB models in stock on the reservation website.

Good evening all.

Many thanks to the previous poster who kindly gave me the link to the TNT tracker. My phone (64GB SG 6 Plus) is on the move , & apparently it left Zhengzhou at 23:18

Now it says subject to change , & obviously no one can account for it sitting somewhere in the world for a day or two , however it says est delivery 20th. Now that's a week tomorrow, so I'm hoping that as its on the move now , & has been for last 4hrs , it'll be before then.

For those with experience of this with their 6 or 6 Plus , am I likely to receive before the 20th. I'm in the UK.

Give me the good news guys.

Regards

James

Well, My 6Plus has apparently been sitting in the Arnhem Hub since Saturday, and it's apparently still there. :(
I'm sure TNT could deliver these things sooner, like UPS would, but they seem intent on going the full distance with these delivery times.

Seen a few posts on the EE experience so thought I'd share mine.

Went in to an EE shop to upgrade to space grey 16GB, they took a £10 deposit and the guy seemed fairly confident it would be 7 days or so. It quickly became apparent that was just a wild guess, and other than it being a first come first served stick my name on a box if one comes in, there was no real order properly placed where a phone was coming specifically for me. After a week or so I decided to ring up EE, and after waiting ages got through to a really friendly bloke who canceled that and did the upgrade over the phone. He put £10 credit onto my account to refund my deposit and quoted me 7 days.

I was sceptical as it took half a week for EE to text me saying 'It will be with you within 7 days' - but got a text on the 7th day telling me it was out for delivery the next morning.

tl;dr - it took 8 days over the phone.

Friend of mine brought his 6+ to the pub on Friday and went and had a play with it in the store over the weekend. Still trying to decide whether I want one or to wait for the S. I am starting to find my phone screen annoyingly small.

For anyone wandering what KG4 is, its the postcode for the hub in Kingston upon Hull.

No it's not. The Hull postcodes are "HU" (I lived just outside Hull for 18 years). It is possibly the TNT code for the hub near Hull, and would make sense if they have come over on the ferry from Holland.

Mine has also arrived there, so fingers crossed they get it to the depot today and out for delivery tomorrow :) My case has just arrived, the 6+ dwarfs my 5!
