UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

Enjoy! I gave EE a quick call earlier to get a tracking number as they said end of this week. Turns out they've pushed it back another week again. How you finding the phone?

Typical EE, making you wait longer.
I love the new size, it feels great in hand, prefer it a lot to my 5s, reaching the very top left corner is tricky with one hand use but it's doable, also Reachability tackles that.

My upgrade comes up next month but I have decided to buy the 6+ 64GB SG outright. It does work out cheaper for me too as oppose to forking out £43 monthly to O2 + £180 upfront.

So I plan to downgrade my current contract to a sim only. Hopefully I will be able to do a walk in & pick up the 6+ from either Covent Garden or Westfield London from tomorrow;)
 
Finally some movement! Just received my "We're working on your order" email from Apple! Says it will be delivered between 13th-20th October, instead of 20th-27th which I was given initially. Order status page still shows Processing Items and the later delivery estimate however. I ordered the 64GB SG Plus.

So anyone still waiting, hold on! It's coming!

I got the exact same email from Apple the other day with the exact timeframe, 13th-20, i don't think that's when it will be delivered tho, i think it's when it's dispatched.

If I'm correct the sim only option and a device from the Apple Store is actually cheaper.

I'm also in the same boat between the 6 and 6 plus. I currently temporarily have both and its day one, but I'm feeling like the 6 is more natural and the 'default' and the 6 plus feels beautiful but compromised in some ways.

But then, so is the 6. In terms of battery life for heavy usage, it's still a compromise (need to carry a. Charger around or limit usage of phone).

So....which compromise is worse...I guess that's a very personal decision and needs experimentation.
 
Mine is in Arnhem at the mo, scheduled to arrive Wednesday (may just go get it).

I assume that a lot of us UKers have had our phones shipped with TNT. What do they do if i'm unable to answer the door? Work etc.. Does it get returned to the hub or delivered to a neighbor or what?

Our phones are at the same place at the moment. Same scheduled arrival date as well!

If you're not in TNT will return it to their local depot. You can then re-schedule delivery or can usually go and pick it up from them. I've done that with several Powermac/Mac Pro's in the past that came via TNT.

I wish mine would get sent, ordered on the 14th of September and it's STILL "Processing items" with estimated delivery 13th - 20th October. Seems like they are gonna make me wait the full time!
 
Ordered a 16GB and 64GB iPhone 6's last Saturday from the Apple online store and they have been dispatched today.

Quite impressed. Was expecting a longer wait.

I got one today saying shipped between 16 and 23rd, how long does the actual delivery take after its shipped?
 
Bloody reservation system doesn't work on desktop Safari or Chrome and the one I want goes.

Sign in on a mobile and it works perfectly. :roll eyes:

Does anyone think they'll have exchange stock set aside?
 
Has anyone had any experience ordering with Three? I've ordered a 64gb iPhone 6 in Space Grey and got told it would be available to collect next Friday (17th). Is there much chance of that being true?
 
I'm currently 100 yards away from the Regent St Apple Store(I was gonna go in to finally see and feel it), but I've waited literally 4 weeks(ordered on 12th September), that I might as well wait a few more days for my Wednesday October 15th delivery, to finally feel the 6 Plus, after watching a thousand videos in the interim period. :D

I'm gonna savour this.
 
Seems customs are holding some phones shipped with TNT, mine has been stuck in customs since Thursday,causing delivery delays.
