Still a bit miffed at having to wait 3-4 weeks for my iPad mini-mini™ (6+), but was half expecting the wait as I'd not seen any 5.5 leaks, so presumed the device was scarce.

Fingers crossed it fits in my pockets. Not too concerned by the overall size, as I'm 6'4", so it may not look too absurd during calls or in my hand, and I'm more of a texter than a caller.

However, had the 6 had the better camera, battery, screen and portrait/landscape switching I'd have favoured it.

As a side note, is it just me who 'theoretically' would like to change from Apple and iOS to another manufacturer and OS, but just isn't tempted by the Android devices you've seen or used?

I think, having bought my iPhones every 2 years, this may well be the last time I buy an iPhone...

I would hate to pay £50+ per month for a contract!

I purchsed my handset offline, direct from Apple. Im happy with my O2 Simplicity Sim - unlimited mins, unlimited texts, and 3GB of 4G data for £16 a month!

O2 have always been great for me. Minimal issues. Get great reception everywhere I need it, and it helps to have an O2 mast right outside my workplace! ;)

Has anyone managed to get a 6 plus for delivery on release day?

I ordered as soon as the online store came back , around 8.30 ish. Ordered a 64gb space grey 6 plus which went through no problems but it's coming back as 30th delivery date?

Are pretty much all plus orders the 30th delivery date?

Thanks

Same here!
Ive ordered both sizes in 128GB. The 6 is due on release day, but the 6+ is due on the 30th of this month - must have got in there just before you! :p

Like you said, if the 6 had the portrait modes and the better camera I would have gone for it straight away. At the moment, Im stil deciding which to keep!!

Also just been into the three store and 128gb iPhone 6+ is £61 per month with £119 upfront cost so actually more expensive than o2

Three Prices

I waited in store with Three for prices ...

Based on 16GB iPhone 6 standard

£50 per month - unlimited everything - total cost £1200! £661 minus handset or £27.54 per month
£45 per month - £99 down - total cost £1179! - £640 minus handset or £26.66pm

Not the prices from Three that I or the sales staff were expecting. The sales team were guessing before they were released at around £38 - 42 and 40% more than iPhone 5 prices at launch - and the handset itself is cheaper!

I, like others did not purchase!

iPhone 6, 64 GB Space Grey just ordered with Three :D

600 Minutes
Unlimited Data & Texts

£0 Upfront
£53/month for 24 months
£4.99 delivery charge (no in store pick up option)

Total = £1277.99

Subtracting the cost of the handset, it works out as £27.20 /month so pretty reasonable!

CANNOT WAIT±

Maybe there was a better deal, who cares haha. I'm satisfied with the deal so thats all that matters really I guess.

I can pay the phone off whenever I want then I would be left with just the tariff which I can also end and go on a sim only deal.

My last contract for my 5S was £42 a month for unlimited texts/mins + 1GB data. Compared to the new deal the old one was the ripoff.

Out of interest what is the sim only deal you have?

Was with 3.....not sure they do it any more as just looked.....but it is £12.90 a month on a rolling 30 day contract for 200 mins, 3000 texts, unlimited data.

I never go over my £12.90 bill :)

Does anybody know why CPW seem to be doing so well? On their website I'm pretty sure all the iPhones are still in stock & it says expected delivery sept 19th. Do they have some kind of agreement with apple?

I did (64 gig in silver), but only after a gang bang of switching and refreshing Chrome and the iPad app (both of which seemed stuck on "We'll be back soon").

I sparked up Safari and placed the order at circa 2.30am and got the confirmation email at 2.37am my time (I'm currently in Jamaica!).

Am I the only one doing this?

Bought iPhone 6 16GB outright from Apple for £539

Put in Three SIM only plan - £10 per month:

- 2GB of tetherable 4G data
- 200 any UK mins
- 300 3-to-3 mins (you don't normally get this with the deal, Three added it in for me)
- Unlimited texts

Total cost over 2 years: £779.

Seems like i'm on the cheapest plan here :D

Just had a call from HSBC fraud department to confirm that my purchase was legitimate. She said that they had a number of failed transactions today which could have been caused by HSBC's servers failing to process the volume of purchases quickly enough. If anyone else had a fail then success after re-entering your details then you might also expect a call.
