UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

Yep me too.
I'm going with Vodafone.
Unlimited mins
Unlimited texts
7Gb Data
£53/month - I then get a 20% monthly NHS Discount bringing it to £42.80/month.

I'm currently paying £39/month through 3 for all the above plus unlimited data (but only using a max of 4Gb/month).

I'm requesting my PAC code and leaving for Vodafone

Oooh, I'm NHS as well, how do I get the discount please? Do I have to show my ID instore or something?

Congratulation to all those who managed to make their order and delivered by Friday the 19th!

I myself very excited for that day to arrive, It'll be a very long wait for sure lol.

Easiest way is to fill in this online form:

https://www.vodafone.co.uk/vodafone-uk/forms/employee-advantage-vea-form/index.htm

You will receive an email in your nhs.net account, just need to click the verification link in that email.

You can have maximum 5 Vodafone discounts either for you or your family and friends. But their contract has to started in the last 30 days.

Typical, but my own fault......

Sat at work this morning, and at 8am couldn't decide whether to go for a 6 or 6+. Didn't have time to sit and deliberate about it, so placed an order for a silver 16GB 6, then placed a second order for a silver 16GB 6+.

After a bit of a think, I tried to log into the Apple site to cancel one of them, but haven't been able to all day. Finally get in, and they are both now "Preparing for Dispatch", for delivery on the 19th.

Guess I've got a whole week to decide which one to keep now, and just return the other one, lol! :p

Got my order in with Three.

Here is my plan: £49 a month + £99 down payment for an iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Black.

That includes 1GB of Data, unlimited minutes and unlimited text messages. That's all I need, I'm not really a heavy 3G/4G data user as everywhere I go has WiFi. I used to have unlimited data on my old plan but I never came close to using it, usually under 250MB data usage a month.

I'm quite happy and it is coming on the 19th of September :)

Wow that was a bit of a panic this morning. Got into work early and computer all set up before 8:00 with Apple store still down. Refresh after refresh after refresh and then decided to phone. Three calls led to being disconnected as store was down. Fourth time in a Queue for what seemed like an eternity and still trying refresh on the computer. iPhone app also trying to connect to store. Eventually got through about 8:25 to be told store was still down and to phone back later. Got into a conversation about how I wouldn't manage to get to a phone or computer after nine and was just about to hang up when the guy said that it looks like the store is coming up. A few minutes later all was up and he started taking my details. Got to the payment bit and I thought this is where it will go tits up (Usually has in the past on launch days) but luckily my payment went through and he said that was one of the very first orders in the UK. I see now that it is preparing for despatch.

Working next Friday so not sure when I will get my phone but no big deal. Need to get my iPhone5 into Apple to get battery replaced in their recall. Hope I haven't made a mistake for going for one of the first production models. Anyway looking forward to getting my iPhone 6 Plus with loads of memory next week :)

From a business perspective, it makes sense, although there's clearly an element of risk attached, but they obviously felt the risks were worth it.

Yeah, I wonder how many long term customers, like me, will either go elsewhere or just switch onto a sim only deal now though?
If they'd have put those crappy tariffs up this morning I would probably have bitten but as it is I'm just going to stick with my 5 and miss out on release day for the first time while I decide what to do.

Doesn't help that I discovered this morning that they've been charging me for a cancelled mobile broadband contract for four years....they're not exactly in my good books as it is.

Pissed off is an understatement right now

really worried, no money taken.

paid on lloyds debit card.

still preparing for dispatch all day then now its the same sorry message.

why do i have a horrible feeling they will cancel my order :(

And there's the risk biting them on the bum.

Wow, that's some back payment you're owed though! :D

Understandable, but perhaps this is genuinely part of their game/business plan, in gnat they've got the numbers they needed/wanted on board by being more competitive and now's the time to stop doing it?

I'm on the legacy £15 Unlimited data & tethering One Plan and I don't see me moving off of that, but I agree that 3's practices appear to have been a little... sharp.

This is the reason why I switched to sim only plan 4yrs ago, and very happy I went with it.

I keep getting "We're sorry, Something went wrong with your request. Please try again later".

Me too! :)

Ordered 2 sim free iP6 64GB from apple.

Went a grabbed two three sims today. £10 (4gb + 600 mins) and £15 (Unlim Data + 200 mins).

Both phones will cost <£1k each over 2 year; super pleased. Also no contracts, so can change network etc, as we see fit.

I think you need to relax, it can take a couple of days for payments to come out of your bank or show up.

If you have a banking app do a little test, go in a shop and buy something, then go outside to an ATM and take some money out. Half an hour to an hour later look at your statement on your app, your ATM money will have came out but your purchase may take 1-3 days to show up.

If your bank has blocked your payment because they thought it might be fraud then you would have had the call by now.
