Ok i decided i will pass on Apple Care, ive ordered, but unofrtunately delivery date just changed form 7-10 days to 3-4 weeks! just one hour ago it was 7-10 days!
Do you think i still will have a chance to get it earlier than that?? thank you

Managed to get through to Three Customer Services about my upgrade.

Got offered iPhone 6 64gb Space Grey, with 600mins and Unlimited Data for £53pm with no upfront fee. Subject to a credit check for some reason, even though i've been with them for over 3 years. Should all be confirmed later or tomorrow.

Happy days. Just see if Naveen actually is right now...

IPhone 6 64GB 'off contract' all colours now pushed back to 3-4 weeks delivery, both 16gb and 128gb still showing 7-10 days.

No, I doubt that.

Anyone order a Plus over the phone with O2?

I was told delivery would be on the 19th so I proceeded with the order.

I've now been told the 7th october, "2-3 weeks from today" and "it will be dispatched on the 19th"

WTF is going on?

I hear that Vodafone & EE are currently considering pulling out of P4U and concentrating their efforts on their retail stores.

Pretty sure that won't affect you, but if it does happen, I can't see P4U staying in business for long.

AZZIN - What will happen if P4U goes down? will everything with Vodafone still be the same, e.g. payments and my contract etc?

Agreed, the only problem I can think of.... which may or may not be a problem to you is that iPhones from CPW although technically "unlocked" ...will lock to the first network SIM you put in ... not so much of an issue if you are buying a contract or don't need to use SIMs from other networks. but if you are buying a SIM free one from them then you would have the agro / cost of unlocking it from the the network you used it on first.

Ah, thanks for that heads up. That looks like the only down side, but I guess if you're with Vodafone example for over a year on the contract they unlock it for free anyway.

If I could afford the sim free I would definitely go for option through Apple.

I'd imagine so mate, Vodafone will continue to take your money.

Think of it like the dealership you bought your Mercedes from going out of business-you can still deal with Mercedes Benz themselves. :)

All warranty issues can be dealt with in an Apple store or online and to be honest, I for one won't be sad to see P4U go, as I've always found them to be a thoroughly unprofessional, quick buck mentality, bunch of sharks.

in the end i went for a 6 plus 64GB with Vodafone
not the best price at £179 up front and £48.50 per month over 2 years.
but i do get a 20% discount on the monthly bit through the employers scheme which my employer is part of.
so really £38 a month

I am so disappointed I could (nearly) cry. :(

Yep me too.
I'm going with Vodafone.
Unlimited mins
Unlimited texts
7Gb Data
£53/month - I then get a 20% monthly NHS Discount bringing it to £42.80/month.

I'm currently paying £39/month through 3 for all the above plus unlimited data (but only using a max of 4Gb/month).

I'm requesting my PAC code and leaving for Vodafone

Man Three is busy.

iPhone 6 Plus 128GB - 24 month contract.
£60pm x24, plus £119 upfront => 1559 over 2 years.

Vs say a £15pm 1 month contract, £789 for phone => 1269.

You get unlimited texts and 2GB per month tethering, but it's a high monthly cost, with low upfront cost, can't change those amounts.

iPhone 6 was £57 x 42, £9 upfront.

Interesting to see the availability over the UK stores - Gold selling well, 16GB versions too - and the iPhone Plus is unavailable for all UK stores (per the checker, it might be wonky).

Queueing looks useful. Looks like demand is more than last year and possibly for the 5 too, with iPHone Plus being ordered a lot more than stock, so more than expected?

What is it you're not sure about? There will be a lot of orders to get through + CPW do credit checks on everyone don't they? Or at least they did with me. I'm upgrading btw, so it's not a new contract, not sure if that makes a difference.

Just off the phone been told my order hadn't gone all the way through yet...but she did it for me there and then and said it would ship as soon as they got stock you won't get an email until dispatch apparently. So if i've heard nothing by next Thursday evening que a very grumpy phone call from me to CPW customer service lol

Looks like Three are happy with their customer portfolio at the moment and have just become one of the rest when it comes to Handset Contracts - it's a shame really because over the last few years they've been by far the best on price.

Very glad I am out of the contract loop and on a SIM only deal - how long before they become extortionate?

that 20% discount makes a good difference

It looks like Three are trying to cash in on people who missed out on launch day delivery orders elsewhere and are trying to get them to Three with a heavy price attached.
