The bank have probably stuck a freeze on the transaction. Apple will have to reattempt but make sure your bank are aware - that it's an authorised transaction - so they don't stop it next time round. I think - don't quote me - Apple will reattempt the transaction automatically.
I phoned and he explained that I may have lost my place in the queue....

I just read this about Special delivery (Envirophone) if anyone is interested:-
"
When you want the earliest available delivery time, follow these guidelines.

Because you’ll need to get a certificate of posting for your Special Delivery Guaranteed ™ item, the lastest acceptance time depends partly on the Post Office® you choose to use.

Check opening times using the Post Office® Branch Finder.

To be on the safe-side please allow:

  • At least an hour before the Post Office® closes.
  • No later than 4.30pm even if the Post Office has a later closing time.
  • No later than 11:00am if the Post Office has a half day closing time.
Ask for further advice in person at your Post Office®."

Did you get an email from Apple? Did they cancel the order?

If the order wasn't cancelled perhaps you could phone your bank to get the transaction authorised?
It popped up as I Apple paid to begin with. Basically bank thought it was fraud I had to phone my bank and then phone Apple and he told me it's gone through now he reattempted but he sees I was set for 25th delivery however depending on how fast the transaction takes places I could be out by a few days now as it's such a popular model :(

I ordered the iPhone 6 Silver 64gb, but am now having doubts as whether to have gone with the 6 plus? I have only reserved, do you think they will let me change my mind when I pick up?

Are you certain that they are?

Have you spoken to your bank to confirm what's happening?
Yes I told them it's not fraud and I had to authorise it. Apple then went on to reattempting the transaction and it's already reflected in my bank balance

Highly unlikely I'd say.

The only way I see it is if you are collecting literally last thing and they are putting the uncollected reservations into the next day's available stock, then there's a chance.

Other than that, you effectively haven't got a pre order (the fact you've got an order for a 6 is not relevant).

Ok, they have a 15 day exchange policy or something don't they?

Debit card?

So presumably that's why-they place a 'ringfence' around the funds to make sure they're available come the actual day of taking payment.

I've read posts here from folks saying the 'fence' was released and the funds were then taken the day before despatch (which makes sense).

I'd be surprised ifntheynare trying to actually debit the funds now-especially as Apple clearly say they take funds upon despatch (there are also other reasons for this too).

14 days.

[Edit] - Last year I returned my 6+ And picked up a 6 in store on day 13.

That was luck though, I'd been keeping an eye on the "Reserve an iPhone" page and one happened to pop up at the right moment, so I swooped on it!

I had to go to the Covent Garden store (further than I would have liked), but I was happy to do it to do the swap.

Yes debit and I'm gutted if because of this that I've lost my 25th slot...

I just spent £94.55 between apple & ebay on a product red case, dr. dre earphones and some spare lightning cables for my iPhone.

The full amount of £619 has been debited from my Credit Card this morning so it looks like I'm all good to go for 25/9 now.

Then there's me rushing to get to the bank to put money in as it's completely wiped me out as I don't get paid till the 25th! >_<

Nope, I'm on a contract from o2 since they're the only ones that offer refresh tariffs since the third party sites like mobiles and carphone sell standard contracts. I just sell my phone for 380 pounds to enviorfone or a little cheaper to a family or friend and upgrade by buying out the rest of the device tariff part of my refresh plan (240) and use the rest for the new upfront cost of the new device and I just pay each month as normal which is around 600 p/y for the newest device. A little bit cheaper too if you include the o2 open code :)
I dont think you can use O2 Open codes on new iphones.
I wish you could

I paid through my Marks Credit Card on my online account I can't see anything go out or a hold on the money. My available credit isn't £700 lower since the purchase of the phone. Does this mean that Apple haven't even tried to see if I have the funds to pay? Cause if Marks have no clue about the transaction then they may stop the payment.

I called marks up to tell them I was making a purchase last friday. They put something on my account to stop it from blocking the purchase. Do you think that that will carry through when Apple try and take the money? Or will it probably get stopped. I haven't purchased anything near £700 on this card. Closest is £170 for my cars service.

My dad has just ordered two iPhone 6S 64GB rose gold for my mom and sister

1,000 voice calls
Unlimited texts
2GB of data
£49 a month

I was in the Manchester Apple Store yesterday. They had no new docks, no new cases and no new Apple Watch Straps. I wanted to check out the lavender silicone case as it sometimes looks lilac and sometimes grey on the website.
Same in Milton Keynes. They didnt know when they would have any either
