To be honest Natwest was top of my list to begin with. But just found out that first direct offer £125 for joining them. Which is pretty good. Touch ID would be an advantage but not the be all and end all. How do you pay cash into a first direct account? Anybody know?
I'm with RBS, probably should be with Natwest instead as I live in England and access to the Nattiest branches are easier here. (you can't manage an RBS account at a Natwest branch or via versa). They have cocked up twice in the last couple of years with money incoming but have always dealt with it and not allowed it to negatively affect your credit rating and have paid for any charges you may have incurred as result, though both times I have been lucky enough to not be affected.

In the long run I'll probably move to Virgin Money, simply to give my custom to a local bank and the fact that RBS here in England are going to rebranded with the COE being a major shareholder.

Generally though I find their app really easy and simple to use with plenty of features. You could say that they have their front foot on technology, especially considering that they were one of the first to launch Apple pay.

Hi guys bit of an out of the way question. I currently have a bank account with Barclays. Getting fed up with the fact they won't advance and support stuff like Touch ID and Apple Pay. I know pretty much everywhere else supports Apple Pay.

Was wondering who supports Touch ID on their app? And more importantly who is actually a good bank to bank with?
I'm with First Direct (greatest bank in the world IMO!) and whilst they support Apple Pay on debit & credit cards, alas there's no sign of Touch ID for the app (despite me constantly Tweeting them about it!).

My Amex app was updated recently and that works superbly.

Nice area :)

Direct order from Apple? If so, it was UPS for past orders to Ickenham. With the iPad (original) they got bored delivering stuff at 5pm and simply went home. Had to go to the depot in Slough to collect!
Yes, direct from Apple, it doesn't sound too hopeful then. I had an UPS delivery here last week and he came around 6pm, so I will keep my fingers crossed - but also be prepared to go to Slough. Thanks for posting. This area is too busy for me nowadays, I grew up here but it was much quieter back then. I'm only staying here with my family for a few weeks now before moving to Lanzarote.

Used Apple Pay for the first time at Morrisons earlier. Really easy and quick. Tried to pay for fuel after too. It didn't work but then I realised that it was over £30. The woman behind the counter said the maximum was £20 which I thought was odd. Guessing she just didn't realise it moved to £30

I know where the main hub is! Let's go, we will have a visit ;)
Bring the whole group that are on this thread, give us our phones or we riot.

If we ever get glowing Apple logos in our phones I suspect the lines will be somewhat like this?

Whilst the official Contactless limit is indeed £30, retailers need to have the terminal's software updated to reflect that.

I had a quick look in the Trafford Centre Apple Store. The Rose Gold Sport Watch with the lavender strap was on display along with the gold coloured sport. Rose Gold looks nice, like a dusky pink, but the lavender strap looks washed out and murky grey. They had all the new cases in and the docks, but the docks weren't out of their boxes on display.

I've learnt that I'll never be completely satisfied with a case, no matter how many I buy. I limit myself to one case per phone now - opted for the Apple leather case, which should be arriving tomorrow!

All of these were under £5, apart from the Cath Kidston one (had a voucher) and one of the clear ones will be going back.

Just received a message on eBay, asking me to provide the IMEI number of the iPhone I'm selling. Bit confused why they are asking. Do you think it's okay to provide it. I've replied asking why they want it.

You have to go onto myo2 then click the more drop down and then my orders. The other link you used doesn't work and says about no info available..
This one..

If I was buying I'd probably ask to check if it's stolen or network locked.

They can also get the serial from it to see if it's been locked by iCloud.

DO NOT GIVE IT OUT.

I had scammers trying this. They can clone the IMEI. If they want to check unlock status via Apple give them the serial number.

Ok thanks. In my auction I've said it's unlocked, bought from Apple and will provide the original receipt. Also picture of with my EE SIM.

Thought it was a bit weird, this is the first time I've had someone ask me for IMEI number. I have 670 odd feedback selling quite a few high valued items. I think my feedback should be enough for them to trust I'm not going to scam them.

Well this is it. PayPal protects them against misrepresentation so that should be enough for any buyer. If they are genuine, they would ask you to put the full status of phone in description,so that is in writing, in case of any dispute.

When I sold my last iPhone they got really nasty about it, trying to pressure me into it. I stood firm, took screenshot showing iCloud wasn't linked and phone unlocked. Funnily enough, the person didn't even bid on it after that.
