So I can order free PAYG sim and tell them to move my number to that sim card?
Not sure about that as a PAYG sim will be activated. You want a non activated replacement sim that you can activate on Friday . Note though that they say allow three working days for delivery so you may be better going into store now

Id call 333 explain and ask

I can always do that after I finished work, 3 working days would mean Thursday.

Completely wrong, sorry. Legal tender actually applies to paying a debt to a court in the UK, any retailer can choose to allow or disallow any means of payment. If Apple decided to only accept the Japanese Yen there is nothing anyone can do to force them to change.

In fact, in the UK businesses work on an "offer to treat" meaning a business cannot even be forced to sell you an item at any price (for example the myth of incorrectly priced items have to be sold at the incorrect price, they don't).

AML applies to any transaction over the equivalent of €15000, it isn't a retailer specific law and you don't get reported to the police, AML is regulated by the HMRC and enforced via the National Crime Agency.
Eeeek

When I needed it I went into my three store and they got a nano sim and activated it while I waited. Then it switched over a couple of hours later. Could be quicker than getting the sim online etc if there's a store near you

At the first time I thought I would stay with my 64 GB 6 plus but I cannot bare after reading the comments in this thread. Just order mine a min ago. It is another long wait again this year

If they are coming from China (and not already in the UK) we should see movement soon.

Thought I would wake up to some this morning but nothing yet.

for those who need a sim, I went into my network (three) and they were doing packs with a converter from nano to micro.

They processed it and when the signal went from old sim I swapped them over. job done and then just took it out of the adapter when my new phone arrived.

Adapters are available for £5 ish from amazon. (I am using one now so my Nano sim works in an iPhone 4)

Potentially serious problem here, everyone with two on order check your support profile? One of mine has vanished but it is still in the order section. I logged both serial numbers just in case I needed them. Anybody else heard of this type of thing?

Just had a charge from Apple online store on my Barclays account. It's finally showing on my statement as of today.

No serious problem, I just wouldn't use what's on support profile as the basis on the status of your order. If in your order history they are both there and still preparing for dispatch and showing the 25th.. You will get your phones

Woke up to a dispatch email from Apple... For the Apple Watch band I forgot I ordered yesterday.

Got all excited for a minute!

I think the closer it gets to Friday the worse it gets for wanting tracking. Especially those of us whom have ordered through carriers.

Haven't had the money taken from my bank yet but my available balance is showing £700 less than it should be. So apple have put a hold on the money.

Realised there is a smallish chance that my office (where I am getting the phone delivered) may be closed on Friday, a fact I overlooked in the excitement to pre-order (and since it was 2am and I woke up for it whilst on holiday in the USA). Anyone recall if Apple allows deliver address to be changed up to the point it dispatches should I need to change it?

Or, if worse comes to worse, if the carrier would allow a change to the delivery if needed?
