Yeah direct from Apple, and yep you get a nice little map which seems to be only delayed by about a minute. But I like how your delivery is a number out of so many numbers, e.g. driver is on delivery 25, you are delivery 37, with an estimated arrival time within the one hour time slot :D.
UKMail sometimes does this too

Hands up who's actually read all the posts in this thread?

I've read every single post in this thread. In fact I've spent the best part of this evening catching up on the last 20-25 pages as I wasn't feeling well over the weekend and didn't go online at all all of Saturday an Sunday.

Well looks like Apple could be using DPD now! *searches DPD tracking with order number* The tracking they provide sounds really good! Would be fun to see everyone one on here practically stalking their driver :D

So many posts, the same every year.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was no movement on the Apple orders until as late as Thursday. When I've ordered in the past (and I've had every model of iPhone, iPad and even Mac for many years) it usually goes something like this:

- Courier given my details and marked as Shipped up to the day before delivery.
- Departure scan at the Syncreon Hub in Tamworth or East Midlands Airport the night before delivery.
- Arrival scan at local depot early hours of delivery day.
- Out for delivery around 7am.

It's been noted that Syncreon subcontract to UPS and UKMail, thought they did use TNT at one point too. I don't think the choice of courier is necessarily based on geographical area. And if it is, it's too localised to hazard any guesses. I've had UPS in Manchester City Centre and UKMail just a few miles away in Altrincham over the past couple of years.

Your own mileage may vary but I really wouldn't worry in any case. If you get to Thursday and are still "processing" or have had no payment taken, then it's perhaps time to call Apple.

6S Plus 128GB Gold

Production week : -36- (September)
Production year : -2015-
Factory: C3 (China (Foxxcon, Shenzhen factory)

Apparently there is a big 747 jumbo jet with our iPhones on it, on its way to Cologne as we speak for European iPhones, then its heading over to the USA.

Unlikely, the plane to Cologne is generally just for Europe, the US get their own plane loads going the other way around the world, usually via Alaska iirc.

Still won't help me if I'm not in. Annoyingly my local DPD and UPS depots are on the same industrial estate in Irlam. Means whichever one delivers I'll have to brave the M60 near the Trafford Centre on Saturday morning.

Actually, on that topic, when I collected my 6 Plus from UPS last year I sat outside waiting for the posted opening time for collections (08:00 I think) but when I went up the bloke said "oh we're here early don't sit out there just come and ring the bell". Wonder if the same would be true this year.

So is there anything that I lose if I do a Icloud backup instead of a Itunes backup, like will I lose my apple watch data or something?
And as someone new to the iOS / ecosystem, with unlimited data on mobile and home BB, is there any reason I'd need iTunes at all?

Handset is unlocked, music is spotify, mail/cal/contacts are google . I'll upgrade iCloud storage as needed though I may have gone over the top at a 128GB model... Oops

My credit card has just been charged in line with most people, could we see dispatched today? (To the odd naysayer on here, yeah I know we won't get our phones 'till Friday)

Oh no, hopefully they might be able to catch you when you are in. If not then it looks like you might have to take that UPS guy up on his offer of an early visit to the customer centre! Is there no other address you can redirect it to? Friends or family maybe?

Well, it's a coincidence that a 747 has landed in the main Europe UPS hub and all of a sudden loads of cards get charged? (Mine included) I think we have a good chance of movement today! :D But if not we will still get them on Friday! (sorry couldn't resist!l ;) )

I wouldn't take the fact you were or were not charged as being proof of anything. I had the charge pending and now it is gone. I think last year I got charged a couple of days AFTER delivery.

The phones are clearly in the UK already. The fact they went to preparing for shipment so quickly is unusual but maybe a sign of improved logistics by Apple.

They will ship very last Thursday evening; possible as late as 11pm and arrive Friday. It is that simple.

Apple do not charge until they dispatch. So with all the CC charges going through I suspect that they are being shipped from China today. We well know soon though. Don't forget it only takes about 2/3 days to ship from China.

Not quite sure why people are saying "UK orders are not coming from China, it will be Europe / UK". Since when does Apple have any iPhone factories out side of China? Everyone's iPhone is coming from China and then locally distributed. Check your serial number - it will tell you where in China yours came from.

They mean that they're disheatened that they're already in UK and that they miss tracking it all the way from China.

Not me personally, but they have had a lot longer to roll out devices this year so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of devices are already in Europe or UK.

Not worth making any plans until I know who's actually bringing it I guess, although whoever it is I don't think you can redirect before first delivery attempt and even so there's no one close enough that would be any easier to get to than the depot anyway. Hey ho. Wish they'd ship on Saturdays :)
