UK iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus Thread

Ugh! I was planning to work from home on Friday (which I normally do on most of the Fridays) and of all Fridays, my boss had to schedule a meeting this Friday :/ So, I'll be picking up my phone in store and then heading off to work. I'm getting a feeling it's gonna be the lest productive day in my entire career so far, with a box in the bag that I won't be able to open until I get back home at 6....aargh!!!
I used that last year. You will be able to track once you know whether you will be getting it through UK mail or UPS

I believe that had landed, so maybe we might see some notifications as they scan all the phones in? ... Maybe? Haha
I totally agree, the tracking from China adds so much fun to the whole experience! Tracking flights and all that, it's a lot better than realising your phone was only an hours drive away for the past week. Makes all this seem less important. I'm still hoping to have it ship from China but almost certain in wont

I think I'll survive with only UK tracking
as soon as I hold that 6S all will be forgiven! 
"Deliveries" is what I use, it syncs via iCloud between my Mac, iPhone and iPad and will add the delivery day into your calendar, keep you notified etc.
I used to use Posted, but switched a few years back to Deliveries, which I prefer.
I've only ever had UPS when high value items were concerned, not sure if I've ever heard of Apple using DPD for iPhones. Would be nice though as I hear you get a time slot?
Another fan of Deliveries here. Great app.
Yeah I had a 5s delivered by DPD 2 weeks ago (needed a temporary phone), and yeah they give more in depth tracking info to other couriers from my experience. My own 5s was in the hands of Apple in the mean time for repair, and when that was returned to me by UPS it arrived at my door unexpectedly as the tracking tool hadn't even been updated to 'out for delivery' yet!
With UPS I fear I'll be left waiting for it all day - Friday's already a busy day for me this week, so may have trouble making time for it.. and I don't want to reschedule for the following Wednesday as its been a long enough wait already! Hopefully I'll be able to have it left with a neighbour if that ends up being necessary.

Was the 5S a direct order from Apple? With UPS although I think they are amazing, and can move things acros the globe at alarming speed, waiting until 4PM to get a package can be a little annoying! Especially if you wait in for it all day.
Can you see the GPS location of your driver on DPD?
Same here. I restore from my iTunes backup of my previous phone every year and I've never had any issues because of it. I don't see the point of setting up as new or even using an iCloud backup. There's no need.
Yes it was on hold but tonight it's actually out my account showing as Apple Store online

Yeah direct from Apple, and yep you get a nice little map which seems to be only delayed by about a minute. But I like how your delivery is a number out of so many numbers, e.g. driver is on delivery 25, you are delivery 37, with an estimated arrival time within the one hour time slot
