There are 188 pages in this thread and I haven't read any of them, but thought I'd make anyone who is due to get their new device on Friday and is worried that it may not arrive until the weekend or early next week feel good by pointing out that some of us who didn't order on the first day will be waiting at least another 2, probably 3 weeks for our new phones.

I was interested in the iPhone Upgrade Program and initially decided to wait until details of the UK version are released. However, on Saturday evening I was tapping out various scenarios on a calculator and came to the conclusion that I don't want to go for the Upgrade Program, at least not yet. I don't feel the need to update my phone every year. I may change my mind down the line, but it's not for me at the moment.

Of course, all that faffing about meant I didn't order my iPhone 6s Plus until Sunday and so I have a delivery estimate of between 9 and 16 October.

There, I bet you feel better now.

I might speak for many, but no not really :) We're a shallow lot.

Re the Upgrade Program it might be something I'd consider if it came here next year. The numbers aren't that bad whether you exchange yearly or keep the phone for two. I won't write the idea off yet.

Returns labels to whom?

To Apple, Syncreon....I've just got off the phone from Apple and they're just as bemused as I was at what has happened. Seriously, I've never experienced anything like this in my life! I've only ordered 5 bloody cases from Apple.com and it's been non stop since!

I've just had a UPS van pull up outside my house with 4 returns labels....He gave them to me and drove off. Anyone know what the hell just happened?

Probably those cases that you ordered and kept complaining about to Apple to because you almost missed the delivery or something and they must have thought you wanted a refund now.

Any movement for 128gb IPhone 6s Plus straight from Apple yet, I'm still on preparing for dispatch but had the money taken from my account last night?

Oh no, they've not even been delivered yet! Well, half of them have and the other half have just vanished...

Bet you wouldn't have been on the phone if he'd dropped off 4 iPhones :)

I've got this image in my head now of UPS drivers randomly dropping stuff off with people for the next few days and if asked "what's going on?" they reply "no room in the effing depot mate, just making some room by dumping some of this rubbish. Ruddy Apple and their flaming iPhones"

If you are near an Apple Store you may be able to reserve one at 6am on Saturday morning! Reservations reopen at 6am but suggest if interested you be very quick.

Nice idea, but I couldn't possible get up early enough for that. I'll just wait it out. October 9 ish isn't that far away.

I'd only ever consider trading in one of my Kidney's for a girlfriend.

What a kind thought. Once you get married, though, I can assure you that you'll be keeping hold of your kidneys and any thoughts of donating them to your other half in a time of need will be right at the bottom of your list after a new iPhone, new car, holiday and anything else you can think of. ;-)

Chatted to o2 chat and have been advised this by them as I am anew customer no details in my 02

For a moment I thought it was the actual iPhone because UPS My choice has been displaying weird tracking information since last night. I assumed it was a system glitch and thought nothing of it...Now I've got 4 spare returns labels - anyone want one?

Seriously, who knew!

So far I'm still "preparing for dispatch" and no carrier seems to have any record of any parcel coming my way using the Apple order number, which sometimes works. I've always been UPS for my phones but did have an iPad come DPD but that was via a carrier contract. Ah well, time to try and get some sleep. Status will change or it won't. Nowt I can do about it

Do you mean they'll change the Lightning end of the cable of the USB end?

I keep seeing people say this, but not actually qualify what they mean.

Lightning is smaller than USB, so why would they change that end?

Both ends! I'm sure they won't, but you never know with Apple.

Honestly I would ship myself in the boss and deal with the sprout that's been messing up your orders :p

My early upgrade fee is showing as a credit but not the cost of the phone. They have only taken payment for the early upgrade and delivery charge.
Maybe I added a line of credit to my account so maybe they took my payment and delivery. I thought it was weird never got a text or email about my order but phoned and said its been ordered and got a text saying "your iphone 6s 128gb is ordered as requested. thanks EE"

Really wish I didn't call o2. Lovely girl on the phone but just soundbites that meant nothing to me.

I asked why some o2 customers that ordered in the first hour or so have tracking codes etc and updated order status where as others (i.e. me) don't. Got some blurb about 'your account will update once Apple confirm the phones are something something and then you'll get an email from us and one from the delivery company stating time slot'. It was very generic, wouldn't say if there was a possible slip or not depending on when you got your order in.

She then said the phones will go out to people who ordered first (obviously) but the suggestion means there's an order of first come first served. Chat earlier said more or less the same but it did sound non-committal. Plenty of 'we are aiming to get them all out for the 25th'.

I guess I should forget about it and pencil in a meltdown if there's nothing on my order status this time tomorrow.

I've literally been in contact with apple with regards to my cases order 6 times now! This has never ever happened to me with regards to an online order ANYWHERE.

Preordered my iPhone 6s in gold. My past 2 iPhones have only been delivered with UKMail. Hopefully we should see status updates by tonight, if not early morning.

If they're still in China (which I believe they are), then let's say they leave by 6am tomorrow, it'll probably take about 12hrs from there to Germany (or somewhere in Europe).

They'll probably sit there for the remainder of Wednesday night.
Probably fly from Germany to the uk, around mid afternoon on Thursday. Distributed to various delivery services.

Early Friday morning they'll arrive at your local depot (3am), ready for delivery by around 6am.

These are just my guesses based on my past deliveries. But if they're still in China then we'll have to see some action with the next 12hrs. Hopefully not too long now...
