Please ignore my ignorance but if the iPhone isn't delivered on Friday, do you get some sort of compensation?
I know first world problem!

Of course you get compensation. I mean its not like its something meaningless like a heart or lung. :D

They re animate Steve jobs and he rides an aluminium unicorn to your door to personally hand deliver it. you then get an invite to Cupertino to whip Tim Cook with 1000 lashes.

Hope that helps

Mine is coming from Vodafone & all we have is this - no ones is despatching yet & won't until Weds / Thurs (probably Thursday).

Stage #3 doesn't happen until they have the devices & allocate you one.

You really didn't just go there.

Did you?

Oh god, that's what's so wrong with the world today-so many people are self entitled, compensation seekers and looking for a free ride and are willing to freeload off of anyone they can, however ridiculous the reason.

<Insert desperation at the state of humanity emoji here>

why do you think I left the police.... Humanity is ballsed

Really? Oh no. Their website is still inviting people to buy online and saying it will be delivered on Friday. I guess I'm going to have to phone them. I can't believe there's no live chat. I emailed but it says a reply will take up to 5 days.

Where does it say Friday delivery sorry? Not seen that  They did mention they would ship as they arrive but they get stock on 9th :/ its so confusing and its annoying we cant track our orders like O2 and other companies.

Found it :O How can they advertise it as 25th Friday when they told me no stock till 9th! :O I'm ringing them!

You obviously misunderstood me! I am not a compensation seeker nor do I ever want to be. The iPhone is very expensive as I'm sure you are aware. To convert it to euros it's about 1000 euro (I'm buying from Ireland) I just want it to be delivered on Friday as I believe for the price it should be. As well as that especially when they are more than likely lying in a warehouse. Just like furniture etc when paying this much you would expect a bit of a discount if the item was delivered later than expected! So please don't go making accusations about a person when you know NOTHING about them. I am not expecting anything crazy just like a 10 euro iTunes voucher or something not the phone for half price! Just as gesture of a good will from a company that thrives to achieve exceptional customer service! Enough said!

Running out of time to sell my 6, and Gumtree is only returning scammers.

Where's a good place to sell nowadays? I'll need minimum £410 to break even, but would prefer closer to £500.

It's a hard fact, but you waited too long, you chances of getting more than £400 now are vanishingly small unless you are really lucky. You should probably be looking at £360-380 (I'm presuming it's a 64GB, even a 128GB will be hard pushed to get £400 in launch week.

Do you mean they'll change the Lightning end of the cable of the USB end?

I keep seeing people say this, but not actually qualify what they mean.

Lightning is smaller than USB, so why would they change that end?

There is a new micro USB called USB-C, and is also reversible when plugging in.

Whether you're after €10 or the price of the phone refunded, compensation culture is one of the things that drags countries down.

I thought it was the same size/shape as USB, but for the connector, which is centrally positioned in the female part of the connection (so on a laptop for example)?

Is anyone else with 3? I upgraded and preordered on the Saturday afternoon and was told there is a delivery window of Sept 25th to Oct 23rd though they hope to deliver on the 25th. I ordered a gold 6S 64gb which googling seems to show is in plentiful supply, but apart from a brief "Thank you for upgrading" text I've heard nothing since and reading here it seems those on Vode or O2 have tracking numbers and everything. I've looked in My3 and can't see anything. Is this just a case of 3 being a bit crap or a, I missing where info like that is held with My3?
I don't want to set myself up for disappointment come Friday.

I'm a new customer with O2 and iv barely had an email confirming my order. I wouldn't panic.

Iv also got an iPhone coming from Apple which is still processing.

I missed that you were in Ireland sorry! I seem to remember on this thread last year there was someone from Ireland and I think it did take longer to get to them :(

Think it will take some extra time my friend, sorry. I don't think they will compensate anything either which is a shame but hope it gets to you quickly.

So, being a freak, I can't let this go. The tracking code doesn't work on the UK Mail website. But it does work using an app I've previously added tracking numbers into.

The only thing is, when I add the tracking code the app states 'DPD'. I then change it to UK Mail (as this is the courier stated on the o2 order page). So pretty certain that's got to be fine.

Says my 'valuable item' (too right) is currently sitting in a collecting warehouse in Leeds having had a 'High Value Cage Scan'.
