Still no movement. What I find weird is the status keeps changing from Preparing for Dispatch and Preparing for Shipment.

Probably just a language bug in the load balancer setup, but weird none the less.
I don't think it does keep changing.

I think UK customers see Dispatch and our U.S. friends see Shipment.

I'm not doubting you, but have Apple ever used DPD?

I know the Vodafone et al use them, but I wasn't aware Apple did (I'm referring to full price iPhones purchased unlocked from Apple).

I think my phones have always come via UKMail, although my Watch came via UPS.

Yes Apple have used DPD to deliver items to me, you get a text message on the morning of delivery giving you a one hour time slot.

Mine says to be delivered on launch day so they kinda do have to deliver it on day now especially when I ordered it 3 mins into when pre-orders went live
Sorry to be pedantic, but it doesn't say it will be delivered on launch day.

It says "Delivers 25/9 in most areas by Standard Shipping".

Thats Apple's get out clause.

DPD have come a long way in the last 12 months, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to bid on an Apple contract for iPhone delivery. They handle most of Amazons orders with ease.

I was quoting them having to give you delivery information not anything else, they will give you this information once its left a main hub. if it doesn't come tomorrow you wont get the information until leaves the main hub....

But I've ordered the iPhone every year and has always come on launch day, so I would be surprised if Apple decided to do some BS this time, last year I kinda was a bit freaked out as my iPhone didn't come in the morning whereas my cousins did, and then around 4pm it came, later than the text message said, but hoping early morning this time

From the Apple UK my orders page for a previous order.

It never ceases to amaze me how great DPD are and how wrong most other couriers get it.

The thing is, DPD are relatively new/young and if they can offer 1 hour time slots, why the hell don't the likes of UPS?

Thing is they do but they just don't tell you... All routes are mostly timed out with the carrier DPD just announce a hour time slot of when they will be there.

its great to some extent but for a driver its horrible.

Same for me.

I was just pointing out that there's no guarantee of launch day delivery.

Still have the "This information is not available at the moment. Please try again later." error message when I click my order number on O2's site, however i have rang them and they gave me the UKMail tracking number :(
