Hi guys, coming late to the party to apologies if this has been answered previously! Just had my despatch notification from Apple for delivery via UKMAIL - Anyone know what numbers to use to track progress?

Thanks

Are some people tetchy cause they sold their iPhone too early and have been using an old rubbish phone for a week.

Hence I'll take the hit on the value of my phone and continue using what I have up to when I get my new phone. (Which is not looking any time soon just FYI)

Have any NEW --- repeat NEW customers on O2 had anything other than a bill.... I have not had that but iv had no texts. No emails. Nothing.

The Apple Store in Edinburgh wasn't open last year for the last iPhone launch. Not that I will be queuing but I'm interested to see the turn out on my way to work on Friday morning :)

The Edinburgh Apple Store has been pretty good with stocking new stuff. They had the new Watch varieties on release day too. It'll be interesting to see if they have some in. My wife ordered an unlocked phone direct from Apple rather than risk it. I went with O2 (fingers crossed).

No only my initial four emails about legalities of o2 refresh had nothing. Log into my o2 nothing and I ordered direct with them and have had no bill so far.

I have a question regarding the new phone and pairing my watch to it.

During the back up restore process to my new phone, does it automatically pair the watch with the new phone? Or do I need to unfair the watch from my current phone and repair with the new phone once back-up has been restored? o_O

Mine has also been dispatched just like that of many others here and it's being delivered by DPD. I'm not sure whether to be happy about that or not. They do offer better service with more specific tracking and delivery information. On the other hand the UPS depot is less then 10 minutes walk from my work so it's easier if I want or have to pick up from the depot.

I guess I will have to wait and see what happens on Friday and hopefully if no one is going to be home at the time of delivery I can make other more suitable arrangements with DPD. I need to send my 6 Plus to Envirophone by Monday at the latest and don't want to be without a phone even for a day.

The one under 'tracking number' on your order page should be the one! Probably won't work until sometime tomorrow though, once UK Mail receives your package from Syncreon.

I've not had to try it yet but as the watch can only be paired with one phone at a time I suspect you will need to un-pair it from your current phone and then pair it with the new one. What you should do is make sure you have an encrypted back up of your current phone first if you're going to restore from a back up as opposed to setting up as new. That way all your data including health stuff will remain intact.

Back off man, no need to drag this up again. If it was your phone, you could sell it for however much you wanted... but it's not, so that's not your decision. Geez.

AGAIN, this is a forum. If you don't want people to read people's reaction, DO NOT post your business online.

I would suggest you unpair the watch, take the full (encrypted!) backup of the phone in iTunes, then connect the new phone, restore the backup and repair the watch on the new phone.

You do have the options to leave with neighbour, which I've done mid-delivery before. I'm not sure if it'll be allowed for the iPhone deliveries though! You may also be able to upgrade your delivery and change the timeslot, as someone posted earlier, or have delivery to a nearby 'pickup shop' (but not sure myself if that can be done on the same day as first delivery!).

Yeah, I thought that might be the case!

Will definitely be doing an encrypted back-up anyways. Way too lazy to re-type in all my passwords :p

Ok me and you can stick together against all these people who know when their phone is arriving...

That driver is useless, he needs to take the direct route and stop that zig zagging s***.

This made me laugh!

I got this fake Apple PU Leather case from eBay for £3.49 to compare, design is literally the same, but obviously the material and quality isn't on par with official Apple cases.

I've had this in my eBay basket in navy/dark blue for a few days. Been holding off to see the real cases in store on Friday. Is it like leather or plastic? I have a cheap version on my 5s at the moment which turned out to be leather looking plastic! Still it fared better than my Apple leather case did and has been on my phone for the last 20 odd months. The Apple leather case only lasted about 2 months before looking manky - pale pink was a mistake!
