Does anyone know how precise UPS delivery slots are? I have a 10:30 to 2:30 slot. Am I safe to pop out until, say 10?

Just checked and both our phones are at Leicester so I'd assume they'd be on the same van.. But who knows..

(I'm new to this chat, so thank you guys for being so helpful!) I've got UPS my choice, but i can't see where to add instructions...
You should be able to click on reschedule and then it sometimes gives a few options like selecting a different day for delivery, or delivery to another address/pickup location. However the sender can opt to disable some of these options so Apple might have prevented being able to deliver to a different address if you don't see the option.

Out of interest, how are people still ordering 16gb phones? I cant' take it any more!

Your first name is Liam but your username is James?

So this guy has given his first and last name away on the internet, his parcel consignment number, full address and the depot at which it's being held.

Honestly, if someone socially engineers DPD in to giving them your phone it is your own fault.

DPD want £10 to put me in the 8:30 - 10:30 timeslot. Seems a bit expensive but I'll be screaming if it comes late afternoon. Hmmmmmmmmm

Also noticed that this thread has managed over 1000 posts in less than 24 hours. Congrats guys, we're all amazing.

I don't even want to think! I can only hope UK Mail have sorted themselves out in the last 12 months as I had fun with their delivery service with the 6 last year. I got it in the end but they "couldn't locate" or in my speak LOST my iPhone for about an hour, that was fun. Don't mean to scare anyone, judging by how much money they've spent on the Ryton site they must be doing something right!

You think Leamington is likely to be on the first load of deliveries or on the way back from going out further a field first?

Yeah I've seen some horror videos of UK Mail but I think because Apple will be such a massive contract that they will have managers etc keeping a very close eye on all orders.

Not sure but I'm not having mine delivered to Leamington as I work in Stratford-Upon-Avon which is where my delivery will be. I finish at 3:30 but if it hasn't arrived I'll have to stick around!

They should allow another person so sign for it, my dad signed for it last year and will do the same this year, sometimes they don't even ask for a signature (thats UK mail for you...)

Anyone can sign for it at the address you asked for it to be sent to. Typically they do not try to leave it with a neighbour.

On the tracking from the more detailed website it says "Product: Homeserve sign mand" so I just wondered if Apple had made any special instruction for these deliveries. Thanks for the info.

Hey guys for anyone whos getting it delivered using UK Mail, up the top there are 4 tabs, has your shipment actually moved into the "at sortation facility yet"?
Yes, well Ryton is the closest facility to my house so it went there at 11:04. The trucks that move parcels to other depots run very late probably leaving Ryton after 23:00 so nothing will change until then.

My wife just received text from Three. Her iPhone 6S 64GB Rose Gold is coming tomorrow with DPD, my iPhone 6S Plus is coming from Apple via DPD, wonder if they will come on the same van lol
Is your tracking number working with DPD? Mine still not recognised.

Do you mind me asking how you managed to reach that option? Was it literally just on the normal tracking page?

Won't be available from every depot depending on staff availability and package volume. It would normally be shown on that screen.

I'm also curious. I have a "collect at depot" option too, but no option to upgrade time slot.

I've had a nightmare with UKMail. Called them up during my lunch break to find out if it could be delivered after a certain time and they said no. I then asked if I could change the address and they said no. Then I asked if I could pick it up from the depot tomorrow instead of it being delivered and they said no.

So nothing changed.

Anyway, I checked my tracking again and it stated that the delivery had been rearranged by the recipient!!

Just got off the phone to them again, and the lady told me that the guy I spoke to earlier changed it for collection on a Saturday!? Then she said we don't even allow collections for these orders till Monday!

I was furious.

Anyway, the lady told me she has changed it back to tomorrow now!

What a joke they are. Such a rubbish staff member I had to deal with. Absolute mug.
Didn't ask him to change ANYTHING, simply to ask a few questions.
omg!!!!! that is exactly what happened to me I am furious. I didn't ask for it to be changed

Note for UK Mail shipments, the status probably won't change from 'Collected' until it gets to your local depot.

The Apple Watch I got the other day went "Booked/Awaiting Collection" > "Collected" > "At Delivery Location" > "Out for Delivery" > "Delivered"

I've got two different orders coming, one from EE, one from o2, my EE one has allowed me to upgrade to a time slot whereas the o2 one didn't. Should ensure they both come before 10:30 though for the price of one! :-D

Ok I have my 5s being collected and just received an email regarding that 'delivery' - it has an upgrade delivery option! But I want it for my 6s delivery :(.
