Do UPS deliver to next door neighbour if you're not in, but have left a note on the door telling them to?

They posted their personal DPD tracking link which allowed the delivery address and time to be changed by anyone.

This is wrong, of course, but why would you put a personal tracking number on a forum?

I'm glad I don't have to deal with any of this, phoning up Apple, phoning up couriers, tracking etc.

Just reserve and pick-up. Simple.

My iPhone 6s Plus is supposedly being delivered by UK Mail, but I don't have a tracking number beginning with a 3.

I have a tracking number that begins with an 8. When I try and track the order on the UK Mail site, nothing can be found.

However, if I access Syncreon with the 8 number and Apple W... order number I can see it was at Ryton GB as of 12:29pm today!

Confused.
Hey try going to the uk mail website, then manage my delivery, then selecting the "customer reference" option (otherwise it won't work), then typing the code starting with "8" into the "consignment/card number" box, and your postcode in the one below. It should then work, as I am assuming before you were using the "consignment" option instead. Tell me if it works!

Anyone know if UK Mail will let someone else (e.g. receptionist at your workplace) sign for the delivery or if they insist on you signing for it personally? Have once before had UPS refuse to let reception sign for an Apple delivery.

They won't unless they were instructed to do so in delivery instructions. They won't know if it was you, your neighbour or someone else that may have put that on. Plus, they on tight schedules with deliveries therefore if no one in they just leave a card.

Anyone know if you can use the Apple trade in program tomorrow in store? I take it it's just the phone you hand in and not cables etc, anyone done this on a previous launch day?

how do you add a delivery instruction?

Where are you all getting iOS IPSW files from? I can't find any official Apple downloads page

They should allow another person so sign for it, my dad signed for it last year and will do the same this year, sometimes they don't even ask for a signature (thats UK mail for you...)

Hi, I've tried that, but nothing

My dad upgraded with 3 and he's received the same email and text as I did. I was worried about lack of communication from three but everything is all ok now.

Please can whoever is constantly changing my delivery date/time/place just stop it?? I'm not one for coming out with sob stories but I was in intensive care for 5 days and I've only been home a week, I was really looking forward to getting my iPhone tomorrow but now that won't happen, thank you very much.
Your first name is Liam but your username is James?

My wife just received text from Three. Her iPhone 6S 64GB Rose Gold is coming tomorrow with DPD, my iPhone 6S Plus is coming from Apple via DPD, wonder if they will come on the same van lol

You can't now, unless you have UPS My Choice but that takes a few days to set up so you are too late.
(I'm new to this chat, so thank you guys for being so helpful!) I've got UPS my choice, but i can't see where to add instructions...

Anyone can sign for it at the address you asked for it to be sent to. Typically they do not try to leave it with a neighbour.

I had the option ever since getting the tracking number online; if you want to upgrade you'd need to do it now (ie day before).
Just paid £5 to upgrade my delivery to 830-1200 slot.
Ah, the only options I have are to leave with neighbour or change delivery day? :/

Edit: think I may have to wait until it's at my local depot - but according to the DPD website it sounds as though you'd be able to upgrade the delivery even tomorrow after its out on vehicle for delivery.

Hey guys for anyone whos getting it delivered using UK Mail, up the top there are 4 tabs, has your shipment actually moved into the "at sortation facility yet"?
