Ironic, I started the "everyone" Pre Order thread but will probably us this one more due to being from the UK! I had a custom case made for my 6 Plus in May thanks to an offer on O2 Priority (Sim Only, 8GB data, unlimited everything else). Will be a shame if it does not fit the new dimensions as it is a tight snap case, will just have to wait and see!

I'll try posting this here before starting a new thread...

I'm on EE and ready for an upgrade. Of course I can do this on pre-order day on the website or by phone but what I wanted to do was go to the Apple store on launch morning. I went yesterday to ask if I would be able to upgrade there, through them on day one... the guy was clueless. So can anybody tell me if I can do this or do they generally stick to sim-free and new contract sales on the first day?

was there an option to pick up in store on launch day? I hope so, this option would be helpful to me , especially when I won’t be home on launch day

Yes, There was a separate and much shorter queue for you to pick up. It might not have been on actual launch day but it was certainly within a week of it

You have 14 days I believe

You do, I put a hold in with envirophone last year and after 10 days had past and I hadn't sent them my phone they sent an email offering to fold it for another 7 days.

Once after the 14 days hold period had past they offered me an additional 5% to send it to them. I'm hoping they do the same this time!

That way you get new iPhone before selling

Thanks for posting that. I'm not really a big fan of Spigen cases from past experience but if my current 6 Plus case does not fit hopefully this one will until I can find a better one. Hopefully these are not just regular 6 Plus cases they are trying to offload but I have a sneaky suspicion they are. That said for 99p with free delivery it's worth the risk.

I've just got a quote from Envirophone of £445.09 for my 6 Plus 128GB. It seems like a reasonable price and higher then what other places are offering including CEX. I will probably go with them unless I can find a private buyer offering the same or more and as long as I get the new phone in time.

Since the Apple Store has been merged with the Apple site, do you think it will be more difficult to pre-order quickly this year?

I think I'll try and use the App, as I'm guessing that will be quicker to navigate through.

Using the app has always been quicker and I would suggest using that as your primary option to preorder. I usually keep the app open on both my phone and iPad as well as the web site up on my computer and see which updates first. It's typically the app though.

Just depends if you can be bothered. I'm. Sure you would get more on Gumtree but maybe not enough to be worth the extra effort

I'm not sure if I want to use Gumtree. I've actually not used them before. Whenever I've sold privately before it's to people I know usually work colleagues. Selling to family is harder as they always want a discount on the value. I will probably go with Envirophone.

I'm thinking of putting my 64GB Space Grey 6 Plus on eBay. Using the eBay fees calculator and predicting an average sale price of around £510 with a reserve of £500, the net amount I'll receive is around £430. Are there any additional fees I need to pay for Paypal? If so how much should I expect to pay?

Thanks.

Looking to make the upgrade this year from my 16GB iPhone 4 which is literally dragging itself through the simplest tasks.

I'm after the 64GB 6s in Space Grey to buy unlocked, and was looking at getting a SIM only contract from 3 considering their deals are pretty great and I've become increasingly disappointed with O2's service over the recent year.

A few questions: if I preorder online, does the phone typically arrive on launch day to my door or is there a small delay? And if I decide to go to my local Apple store in person on launch day, what's the chances of me getting a phone before they sell out?

I'll be hoping to pre-order a 6s Plus, upgrading from an iPhone 5 that has done me very well. Mainly after the bigger battery, but found it fairly easy to use one handed so I think the screen size will be welcomed too.

If you preorder online it all depends whether you're able to snag one from the launch day stock. When you preorder online it will give you an estimated delivery day or window. If you go to your local Apple store it all depends on supply especially of the model you want and how early you're willing to queue up.

There is no real way of telling either way how soon you will get your phone as no one knows what the stock levels of each model and it's respective demand will be but I think you may well struggle getting one at launch especially if you go to your local retail store.

Thanks for the heads up! just ordered two 6s plus cases and a 6s case, I can't make my mind up whether to go for the plus this time. Feels great in the hand and not so great in jeans pocket..

No worries, so best bet is to preorder online when it becomes available. Cheers pal :)

So after getting a 6+ last year and deciding to return it for the 6.. I think I've succumbed to the size envy I've had ever since and looking to get a 6s+ this time around. Think I was put off originally with the 6+ size and the fact most the apps I used weren't scaled to fit the lager resolution then. I think I'm ready for the big boy this time

Wow, I don't know how you've been coping with the iPhone 4. I remember holding onto my iPhone 4 until I could no longer bear it (and nor could the phone lol) and ended up buying the iPhone 5S which at the time, was just released. Was perhaps the biggest and most noticeable difference that I've had from upgrading from one iPhone to another. The 6S is gonna be a good upgrade for you :)

If you preorder online, you may or may not get it on launch day. To get the best chance of getting it delivered on launch day, you need to hit the purchase button as soon as the pre-order service goes live on the Apple website. Best to get it done and dusted within the first 2 mins of going live as otherwise delivery times may get pushed back slightly depending on how long you leave it. I recommend setting up your payment details with your Apple ID to enable a fast checkout process.

Will do, I've literally been holding onto the 4 for years - can't wait to use an iOS device that doesn't take 5-6 seconds to load the home screen haha.

Am I missing something but has the quick pay option gone from Apple's web site. There use to be an option under your account settings to turn it on or off and that seems to have gone. I just tried a dummy purchase to see if it would come up and it didn't.

I bought a sim-free 16gb Gold 6+ about a week ago, knowing that there is a s strong chance that 6s+ will be out on the 9th, i'm going to return my current phone on the 10th (within the 14 day period) and pick up a new once when they come out.

Excited! Upgrading from a 16gb White 5!

Hello, I'm new to the forum...

I'm not new to the iPhone (owned a 3GS, 4S before), But 2 years ago I decided to give android a try with the Galaxy S4, The Galaxy S4 isn't a bad device but I've had a fair amount of software errors as well as cracking my screen 3 times in the last 2 years. I will be selling the S4 if I can obtain a new iPhone 6s after being disappointed with Samsung and I found myself prefering the iOS software after all.

I'm currently finishing a contract on the 3 network but I'm now open to purchase the iPhone 6s at full price for delivery on launch day, but whether I can actually get a 64gb version of the 6s pre-ordered or bought on launch day is another thing. I did get the iPhone 4s on launch day at late afternoon by walking into my local 3 store and obtained it on contract paying the upfront fee.

I'm at work on Friday morning, but depending on the day there is a chance I can get my pre-order in.

Should come up when you click buy a product..should be top right hand corner

I sold my 64Gb iPhone 6 for £400 privately just yesterday. Couldn't be bothered with eBay, even though I could have possibly got more for it.

Anyway, the real question is:

Will this thread be as hilarious as the UK Apple Watch pre-order thread? That was an all-timer. #FrancisWasRight

EDIT: Also I assume this is also the UK pre-order thread for the new phones, right?
