Am I missing something but has the quick pay option gone from Apple's web site. There use to be an option under your account settings to turn it on or off and that seems to have gone. I just tried a dummy purchase to see if it would come up and it didn't.
I can't find it either :(
Should come up when you click buy a product..should be top right hand corner
Is this on the web store, or the App? - I can't find it on either :(

Will this thread be as hilarious as the UK Apple Watch pre-order thread? That was an all-timer. #FrancisWasRight

EDIT: Also I assume this is also the UK pre-order thread for the new phones, right?
Ooh... What happened on the Apple Watch thread? I haven't seen any of it, since I don't really want an Apple Watch

And yeah, pretty much everything to do with getting the 6s/6s Plus in the UK :)

On the app
Okay, the App is doing a different thing today than what it did when I tried it last week :p

Last week I went to iPhone, selected options and it then added it to the cart where I could pay with Apple Pay or another payment option.

But now once I've done selecting options it doesn't add it to the cart and instead immediately prompts for payment via Apple Pay or other payment method.

Sadly there just won't be time to go through everything, but memes were created, friends were made, and heroes were born. It was a glorious time to be alive.

I tried it earlier this morning with same thing. I'm going to use apple pay.

Just joining this thread as I am going to upgrade from 5s to 6s. No one who knows me nor myself can quite believe that I didn't upgrade last year given I have had every model from the start (ex 3g)

Anyway I can't wait to get a 128gb as my 64gb is full to bursting and am keen to go back to a black bezel!

Have got a trade in deal of £199 for my unlocked 64gb gold iPhone 5s - valid for next 14 days. Not sure I can be bothered with eBay this year.

I just shelled out on a gold retina MacBook a couple of months back so will have to go back on contract to upgrade this year .

Are we expecting handset and tariff prices with the networks to be broadly what they were on release last year? Am sim only with EE at the moment but contract is up in October so not tied in.

Have never bought an iPhone before so not 100% sure how this works... Looking to get a 64GB 6s but I would like to use giffgaff; I don't want to commit to a contract when I feel my usage will change from month to month.

They have a pay monthly system where you choose your upfront cost, and your first goodybag (which you can change for the next month) and the prices seem very good. https://www.giffgaff.com/apple/apple-iphone-6/phone-plans

But when you order from the Apple online store, do you have to buy the phone upfront? Is that what everyone here is doing? Or do they have a selection of carriers from which you can pick contracts from?

Would be very grateful if someone could help!

Anyone fancy buying with peace of mind & hassle free!!!!! 64GB Space Gray iPhone 6+ factory unlocked purchased from Apple in pristine condition with full protection from the onset hence not a single smear or mark.(all accessories intact, ear plugs never used) I am available in Central London; drop me a line if you are interested and we can negotiate.:)

Yes, Apple sell unlocked handsets outright - which is currently £619 for the 64GB 6.
They offer three different 'pay as you go starter packs' as optional add ons for £15.00 (your choice of 3, O2 or EE - each with different calls/texts/data). Apple don't sell monthly contracts, at least not online.

I'm guessing most people who pre-order from Apple will have an existing contract and they'll then just switch their sim cards into the new phone once it is delivered.

I don't know if giffgaff sell the new iPhones on launch day, or if they get stock at a later time.
If it's the latter and you want the phone on launch day, it may be best to pre-order through Apple and then use one of giffgaff's sim only goody bag deals.

Personally I buy outright from Apple and use one of O2's simplicity tariffs. :)

Reactions: murray and Dan!
My EE contract is up in January, so I think I'm going to wait until then to finally upgrade from my 5S.

Thinking about joining BT Mobile on one of their SIM-Only plans - look like great value.

£25 a month for 20GB of 4G Data! That's half the price for double the data I get now: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/4g-sim-only-plans/nonbb.html

Try 3, get unlimited 4G data for £17 a month with no roaming fees. I'm looking at jumping over myself.

Did look at that, but EE offer double the speed of anyone else. EE signal is flaky at best too, but I don't want to risk going to a network where it could be even worse - haven't been with Three since their launch.

Anyone with them now that lives works in London/Croydon that can share some advice?

Sadly don't think I will participate in this thread this year, wish I had bought outright last year when my contract was up and I hadn't made a big apple purchase in over a year. Instead I tied into a 2 year contract with Vodafone paying £43.50 a month on a 6 Plus. Never get good deals when you do a contract when they first come out!

Have just bought a 15 inch MacBook Pro, so funds for buying outright are little non existent!!

I hate 2 year contracts - they take all the fun away!!

I bought the 5s outright at launch (whilst I was 12 months into a 24 month contract) and didn't upgrade last year - partly because I hated the thought of selling a phone for £300ish that I paid £699 for and was contemplating a watch but didn't get that either! You don't feel that pain so much when you are selling a phone have 'bought' via a contract. Over the yers I was planning to stay on a sim only plan however I got a 12" retina MacBook in May so now have to go back to a contract to get a 6s. I could shove it on the same 0% credit card I got the MacBook on but not keen to increase that balance further! Will resort to that next year if I want to upgrade the 6s.

it's why i'm buying phones going forward and selling each year..then have a sim only contract where i pay £20 a month

My justification on the upgrade, such as it is, is that with all the browsing I do I should have gone for the Plus last year. But I was put off by the RAM issues I read about so I decided to hold off in the hope the S model would have more RAM.

I got a plus last year and went back and forth with plus and 6 but decided on 6.

Been to apple shop a few times recently and picked up and played with plus and i think this year im happy to commit to the plus. I think the experience will be better with upgraded internals and the size going from 4.7 to 5.5 would be natural for me.

I just went through another dummy purchase without actually purchasing the item but there was no quick pay option that I could see. Like I said the option to turn it on or off in account settings also seems to be gone.

Just so you know if not aware supposed to use the Market Place section to advertise items for sale and not the other sections.
