Me too I've never had any issues. I only wished they payed a bit more, even with the promo code applied!Surprised with all the negative comments about envirofone, always had hassle free transactions with them myself! Suppose it's not the same for everyone...
Also, what does Photos do in the background for 25 minutes?
Siri is on for me and does only use about 1%
It will run hot if you have just restored your phone as it will be doing background stuff. Have you just reset settings or put the phone into dfu mode and restored in iTunes?
I just wanted to run something by you guys. I'm thinking that I might want to swap my silver 6S plus for a gold 6S plus in the same capacity. I'm still within the 14 days so I know this isn't a problem. I've found a 128Gb 6 S plus in gold at Covent Garden and I've made a reservation for later on this afternoon. Would it be possible to just go in for my reservation and do the exchange or does it need to be done from walk in stock?
I've got my reciept. I bought my 6S plus from the Kingston Apple Store but I want to do the exchange at the Covent Garden store will this be ok?
I'm going to call the store before I leave but just wondered if anyone had any experience with this.
I've had an answer from John Lewis about the whole "locks to first sim" issue. They have confirmed in writing that it does lock to the first sim like CarPhoneWarehouse does.
I did a restore through iTunes
A few days in now and I'm still happy with the phone. Battery life (in my unscientific "just use it as normal and see where it is by bedtime" test) seems comparable to my 6: MacMandy, there's definitely something awry with yours, let us know how you get on after the restore.
Still have a touch of unlock lag but it's barely noticeable since I did a restore and set up as new: I can only really notice it now if I deliberately look for it (e.g. unlock with Touch ID, immediately try to swipe to next home screen). When I restored via iTunes it said there was an updated version of the software available even though I'd previously updated OTA to 9.0.1, so I'm guessing something went wrong during the upgrade process. Pretty sure the remaining lag is a software issue, probably get fixed in 9.1 or 9.1.1.
Only thing I'm seeing that is a bit odd is that for an equivalent volume setting the keyboard / lock sounds (and to a lesser extent the speaker overall) are noticeably quieter than on my 6 (and my work 5C / wife's 5S). I've not extensively tested this to see if it's the same in every app as it's not a big issue and the speaker seems otherwise fine, I guess they are probably using a different audio chip. Be interested to hear if anyone else has noticed this.
They have stock in for warranty swaps etc that isn't part of their retail infantry.I'm just worried that if it needs swapping, they won't have my 64Gb RG 6s in stock as I've been trying to reserve one at either of the 2 Manchester stores since yesterday afternoon.
YesDo Apple do phone contracts in their stores now? Anyone know what the prices are like? Are they the same as going through the official carrier stores?

Unless you return it and buy it againOh ok, I just thought it would be a fresh swap within 14 days, not a refurb brown box.
If you have problems with your phone then it will be a 'refurb', though obviously they are new units and not refrubished units at this stage. If you are swapping for a different model or colour then you will obviously just be exchanging it for another retail model.Oh ok, I just thought it would be a fresh swap within 14 days, not a refurb brown box.
does anyone understand the purpose of these stores locking the phone to the first SIM used?? Apple must manufacture these phone for these stores so they automatically lock???
I managed to reserve a 64Gb RG 6s plus at the Trafford Centre for tonight. I think I'm going back to the big guy.
Just because of the battery or are you missing the extra screen?
