I wonder if it is to prevent shortages on launch day, as it gives them another week to produce phones. It may be an attempt to shorten the queues outside their stores on launch day.Yeah it's always been a week so I don't understand why it's now changed to two weeks.
A random question.
I have a phone reserved for pick up in store, would I be able to pay for it using Apple pay in store via NFC? I'm assuming Apple will be one of the ones who don't have the NFC limit.
I'll buy one off you for £1.05?![]()
Awesome, I use Apple pay where I can but I've never been able to use over the NFC limit. I know Apple try to get you to pay online via the app when your in store now, but I want to try this before it becomes mainstream.Yes you will be able to. Apple has no limit on ApplePay. I bought a charger and lightning cable recently that came to £50 and I used ApplePay.
I can do without making a loss, but thanks for the offer!Ps, as long as It's free delivery....
Is yours a courier delivery, or are you picking up in store?
I just went through for a giggle and it looks like only 16GB Pluses are still 24/9.
Lots of the smaller device still available tho
Preordered through O2 here in the UK using their 'speed to refresh' scheme! Sold my phone to them with O2 Recycle and got £406 for it, was £325 to speed to refresh and upgrade, went for the iPhone 6s 64GB Space Grey with 5GB of data and unlimited calls and texts, cost £39.99 upfront and £46 a month! Decided I'm going to stick with the size of 6/6s then go up to + size with 7, not ready yet!
What was surprising is either how popular or low in inventory the 6s+ is! I got confused and thought O2 opened preorders at 9am but they opened them at 8am, despite this I still got my 6s 64GB SG with launch day delivery and O2 still has them all listed as available for launch day delivery, where as all 6s+ have slipped to 2-3 weeks, with the exception of the Gold colour option. I believe the story here in the UK is the same with Apple too, as I checked a minute ago!
Which store?I'd actually done both because I wasn't sure if it had gone through ok. I'll cancel the pick up once I'm 100% sure it's ok
Perhaps Apple will learn that no one wants such a stupidly low amount of memory and change it to 32gb basic next year
I preordered with O2 and got confirmation at 8:01. I paid £325 to upgrade and got the 128GB silver 6 plus for 9.99 up front and 69 p/m with 30GB data. Got 467 lined up with envirofone for my phone and possibly more if I sell it instead.
Edit: How'd you manage £406 for that device on O2 recycle? I'm being quoted £350 for a 6 plus 128.
OK, so how confident are people that Envirofone give you an extra 7 days after your 14 days, if they haven't received your phone.
I need to send mine by the 22nd to arrive on the 23rd to get the price of 465. Now they are quoting 380.
The problem is it's a catch 22. Have to wait till it's too late to send it to find out if they give you extra time.I hope they do. I'm in the same boat as you with the same dates. Worse comes to worse I will just have to send it off early making my watch useless until I get the new phone.
I think I bagged 3 for my 6S+ when they were 99p!
I somehow managed to order a 6S one too!
Last year I bagged a case at 5p delivered next day (Amazon Prime), that later went up to £19.99!
