Ive done a bug report with Apple too along with the baseband logs showing it connect to 4G then drop out and not connect back up.

Hopefully something shows up in the log.

Not sure what's changed but I'm so far getting a constant 4G signal this morning

Still not connecting to 4G constantly, maybe for a minute or two and then back to a solid 3G ....

Make sure you report it to Three to add weight to the other reports. Just drop a tweet to @ThreeUKSupport

I'm getting exactly the same problem, iPhone 7 on Three.

What I have found as a temporary fix is Settings>Carrier turn off automatic, make sure Three is selected, then turn back on Automatic. This seems to kickstart 4G again for me but only for a limited period.

I appear to be having this issue too, not much 4g I think it's only connecting to 800mhz signal and therefor much less. I think the faster 4g might not be working correctly? Also field test mode doesn't work. I'm on black iPhone 7 128g
Is it the new intel chips? :(

I just noticed this this morning cos on my desk at work I always have a solid 4G but noticed yesterday and today it's been 3G......I solved it by going to carrier settings, turning automatic off, connected to 3 manually, then went back to automatic on, then went in to aeroplane mode, then turned that off and its stayed on 4G ever since it reconnected.

Hope this helps, try it.

Tried this and no joy..

I'd assume it's the Intel modem which is the cause of this. The Qualcomm modem seems to be fine (haven't noticed any complaints) and is also better in terms of capabilities. Wish Apple had of just stuck with Qualcomm. Here's hoping it's fixed soon.

Mine has magically fixed it self today... I've tried everything to make it fail as I'm collecting baseband logs but it's stuck on 4G ever since my last reboot!

.... Puzzled!

Also having this issue, reported it to Three twitter support over the weekend and a reboot "fixed" it. Assumed all was ok until this thread and realised it is still on going. A hard reboot always brings it back but then lose 4G again. Have tweeted three and copied link to this thread in hope of raising awareness to their support team.

I reset my network settings and its working now.

Was stuck on 3G all morning until I reset my network settings, since then it has switched between 3G and 4G depending on where I am in the office, which is expected behaviour. Up until then only a hard reset would force it back to 4G.

Yeah, so far, anything that works is a temporary solution only ;(

Yeah, that's the problem, forcing it to use 4G works, but then it inevitably reverts back to a solid 3G ;(

Three are calling me back tonight around 17:00 with an update about the situation. I'll post what they say later on but I'm doubtful they're going to provide a fix.

I'm also on three. Usually on the train I get 4G most of the time. I've only manage to get 3G. Will raise a ticket with Three later today

What model do the people with the issue have...

iPhone 7 - a1660 or a1661

iPhone 7 plus - a1778 or a1784

Add my voice to this - also not able to maintain a 4G connection on Three network where it was fine on my 6s. A restart resolves the issue but only temporarily.

My iPhone 7 model number is listed in General>About as MN922B/A. I don't know if this translates into one of the numbers you've listed above.
