This was fixed for me until the last beta. Now I have to reboot every day now since installing to get 4g back :-(

I've been having trouble with my 7 plus on o2.

Signal just doesn't seem as stable as my 6S! I was in Manchester the other day and the thing barely worked and I was connected to 4G with decent signal apparently.

Never had these problems with the 6S in the same locations. Is it likely to be the intel modem or is it time to change network?

Not sure if this is related!

Thanks

It seems to finally be fixed on 10.3. Before with 10.2.1 it was really bad after the three carrier update to 27.5 with wifi calling, it now on 10.3 it seems so far to be working as normal.

From this morning, I'm having the 4G problem again on the Three network with an iPhone 7+. I took my phone out of airplane mode this morning and only a reboot will get it back on. If I use airplane mode again, it takes another reboot to get 4G back. And if I make a phone call and it goes to 3G, another reboot is required to get 4G back.

This was before the 10.3.1 update. Updating the phone, I still have the problem. Someone else at work has an iPhone 6 and also keeps losing 4G. Anyone else had any problems lately?

Yep having issues too - initially it seemed to be better but then the issues recurred. 10.3.1 seems better than 10.3 and better than it was previously but still consistently getting the same issues.

I'm fed up of my phone going straight to voicemail now and again. It never rings even though I appear to have a good signal. It's intermittent though.

It's not a major problem but very annoying.

Yes initially I was getting the problem roughly once every other day, in the most recent versions of iOS 10 that is down to roughly once a week or so. So it seems to be improved but annoying this still happens at all.

4g issues again after latest update.
Now running iOS 10.3.1
Three 28.3
And having to reboot everyday to get a 4g signal

Why oh why?

New software and you resurrect old problems!!!!!

10.3.1 has brought this issue back again for me. iPhone 7 seems to prefer to connect to stronger 3G signal however the 4G signal is faster. Have to do multiple flight mode on/off to get it to connect. I wasn't expecting this bug to come back after three were aware of it and fixed it last time

I haven't updated to 10.3.1 yet (I'm still on 10.3), but I can't say 4G is great on 10.3 either. I am really fed up, but I don't really want to lose Three at home...

I still get it now and again using the latest beta. I really don't know why this is still happening. Wonder if the iPhone 8 will be the same?

Sorry just realised I said the same thing above. Silly me.

I'm now running iOS 10.3.2 on my iPhone 7 Plus and 4G has now disappeared.
Seems the only way I can get it to activate and that's not every time is to do a cold reboot on the phone.
However, the second you change to wifi hen back to mobile it does not go back to 4G.
Speeds under 3G are horrendously slow compared to 4G. NOT IMPRESSED!!!

Yep mine has been awful on 10.3.2 as well. I don't see why this is so difficult to fix. It is ridiculous!

Three are blaming Apple. Not impressed by all this. The offficial response from Executive Office is attached...

Thanks for this update. If the stronger 3G signal is the cause why isn't it happening on other networks when their 3G is stronger?

Still have to play with flight on/off in order to connect to 4G....also iPhone still prefers 3G and doesnt go back to 4G when its on....

I noticed during my hour long commute driving through London that my iPhone 7 rarely displays 4G, most of the time it seems to be on 3G. If it wasn't for my fairly cheap £17/mth tariff and unlimited data I would have changed providers long ago.

Well 10.3.3 seems to have fixed most of the issues and is much better than 10.3.2. Still not as good as my iPhone 6 Plus used to be, but a least it doesn't get stuck with no internet and I don't have to flick airplane mode on and off several times a day.

Well done apple after 10 months you have finally fixed a software bug in your flagship phone and made it useable!

It is even worse for me now.

Not that great for me either. Glancing every now and again at my iPhone 7 during my 1 - 1.5 hour commute I still mainly see 3G.
