I'm approved on a 17 Pro Max 512GB in Silver but erring between that and the Blue. Also wondering if I need to spend the extra £200 on the 512GB as I still have 116GB free on my current 256GB S25 Plus.
Exactly the same for me, but went for the 512GB. Approved already and dont want change it in case it gets messed up.

Popped in a a saved order for a 256GB 17 Pro Max in Deep Blue paid in full. Cancelled the approved loan 17 Pro Max 512GB in Silver. Don't need the bigger storage so better to save the £200 plus may as well pay outright when I can afford to.

For once, I managed to actually skip last years models. Now upgrading from 15 Pro Max.

Don't like the design of the new Pro/Max at all - not a criticism, just not for me with the two tone look on the back and top antenna.

So, I'm seriously tempted by the Air as it just gets right back to what I love about Apple products - their simplicity.

I'm assuming it will still feel like a nice upgrade from a 15 Pro Max, right?

Back again for another year!

Pre-approved for a 17PM Cosmic Orange 256gb. I wanted to love the Air and I do to a degree, but the mono speaker is the biggest kicker for me.

What's people's opinions on clear skins? I've gone with AppleCare+ this year, so tempted to get something like this instead of a bulky case...

Can you create a 2nd approval? You made me think about this and might do exactly the same.

Try Extreme Skins .. always rated them and used them

Upgrading from my trusty 13PM (still running flawlessly) this year no matter what dropped. Went back and forth between the Air (Cloud White) and PM (Silver) 256GB models…

Going to play it safe with a pre order set for the Silver PM. Planning to hold onto it for 2/3 years, and the extra features, camera, speaker, better cooling, and bigger battery should give me more headroom long term.

Now on to cases..

Yes. Ive done 3.

Two got approved straight away last night. Third one done this morning required ID Verification which was approved in minutes after I uploaded my pic and driving license.

I'm really surprised by how little love there is for the Air.

Perhaps it's my age.

I've been brand loyal to Apple since 1992 and much of that early loyalty was about design. Apple products were just so much more attractive than their competitors. I genuinely (though I tell myself this every year) had no intention of buying a new iPhone this year. Last year I downgraded from a 15 Pro Max to a plain 16, and that has possibly been my favourite iPhone ever.

The Pro Max had two issues. First, who really needs all those features. Certainly not me. Second, my aging fingers were genuinely suffering with the strain of the weight of holding it up. That went away when I got the 16.

So I love my 16. But I saw a YouTube video on my feed about the new products and of course I watched it, and it was love at first sight. I think the Air is _stunningly_ good looking. There was not even any doubt in my mind about which colourway. The white is fantastic. I feel like black is played out (how I regret buying a black MacBook Air) and I haven't had a white / silver iPhone in a long time.

There are some compromises. I'm losing 0.5x, which is something I do use, but rarely. I get why they had to cut that. And I'm losing the stereo speakers. I don't think I care as long as the volume is still loud enough for me to hear in the shower. I love that the pointless SIM tray is going.

But I'm gaining about 15% more screen space for zero extra weight (actually a marginal reduction in weight). And Pro Motion (which I probably won't notice). But always-on display which I will. I liked having that with my 15 Pro.

So it was a very easy call. With my 16 trade-in I'm paying £599, or £25 a month with BPF. So, basically free.

And, yes, I bought the battery pack. I have the OG MagSafe battery which I use on my 13 mini from time to time. It's nice to know it's there if I need it. And the same will be true with the Air.

I have not been tempted by the Ultra 3. I have the Ultra 2 with the Milanese loop and I absolutely love it. There is zero reason to change. I'm going to keep that combo till it falls to bits. (I've had all kinds of Apple Watches: even the Hermes (twice). But this is by far my favourite.)

I give in… I opted for the iPhone 17 ugly over the iPhone Air. Just too much money for a lower spec… you get a lot for an extra £100. I feel dirty

Fellow UK iUP users.

How is the process now? I got approved, do I need to do anything else when ordering? Also am I able to get it delivered instead of pickup? Add to that, I am out of UK between tomorrow and 26th, would they keep it in store if that's the only way to take it? Thanks!

If I remember correctly, they'll hold the phone for 3days max (correct me here please) and they'll refund you the money... I am not 100% sure, to be honest, I just know there is a limit for how long they'll hold it for you.
