Yeah I didn't go that far. Blue case for my blue phone ordered :D
DPD driver just did a drive-by photo of my house and I got the failed delivery attempt email ffs. Thankfully it was just the case! And to be fair to John Lewis customer service they were great and got the delivery rearranged for tomorrow AM rather than making me wait until Monday.
 
I'm such an idiot. Messed up the eSim transfer so tried swapping to a physical sim.

Been waiting patiently for it to transfer over. Airplane mode on/off. Restarting the phone.

Would help if I had actually started the transfer process, wouldn't it? :D :D

That's it transferring now.... hopefully.
 
Just tried, nothing happens :/
Try DFU mode:

Connect the device to a computer using a USB cable.
Quick-press the Volume Up button
Quick-press the Volume Down button
Hold down the Side button until the screen goes black, then hold down both the Side button and Volume Down button.
After about 5 seconds, release the Side button while continuing to hold down the Volume Down button.
If the Apple logo appears, the Side button was held down for too long.
Nothing will be displayed on the screen when the device is in DFU mode. If open, iTunes will alert you that a device was detected in recovery mode.
If your device shows a screen telling you to connect the device to iTunes, retry these steps.

N.Ireland based poster, still no sign of anything from DHL’s ‘third party partner.’ Really unimpressed with how this was handled, especially marking it as delivered hours ago on DHL’s end even though it’s just been handed over to some other random company.
 
Just picked up mine (orange Pro) - the colour is definitely bold! Not sure I’m 100% sold but it makes a change from grey/white/black and is better than I expected it to be. The star of the show though is definitely the Air - it feels even thinner than it looks. Just wish there was at least an ultrawide camera in it though - I could deal with the other trade offs. But it feels absolutely incredible.
 
No mate.. continuous loop whatever method I try even; transfer from iPhone kicks me back to the options page… seems like a load of people are having the same issue. Servers are getting hammered
I’m waiting to speak to Apple but my password has just been accepted. I’d just keep trying mate. Must be the servers like you say.
 
Had a good look in the store. Got to say im not happy about how the Pros look (ugly) and feel (cheap). The Air just stands out reminiscent of the way Apple used to design these things. Looks and feels more premium than the Pro.
Having said that, I think demoing the phones in the store cemented my decision to just wait until the Fold. That truly will be a revolutionary new iPhone. Note I said new iPhone.

my delivery was due via DHL between 15:42 and 16:42, and it has not arrived. Has anyone else had this issue?
same thing my slot was 10 min later with two watches and two pairs of AirPods 3 pro… on the tracking site says that they running late , I myself work for Royal Mail and straight away around 2pm I knew they running very late , that time driver completed only 44 parcels in 4 hours and till my slot was having over 60 left … From my experience they having to options working over till very late ( unlikely) or give up around 6pm and go back to depot ( most likely)…

Generally this is one of the worst launch day I experienced (staying whole night in the queue during iPhone 3,4,5 time was more fun) at least you knew you will get something in the morning… Unfortunately there is no delivery company you can rely on , I been let down in the past by DPD, UPS , DHL , Yodel and Royal Mail, I have feeling today will be the same.

On the top of it Apple got some server issues , trying to 5 times transfer all my data from one phone to another , last year everything went smoothly.
