With the wife, she does not like it, she went and returned it to the Apple store as Westfield is 5min drive from us.
Whats really funny, she just opened the box, looked at it and said, nope, too slim and not for me, I am not downgrading from my 16PM, and that was it, not even 5mins was on her hand and rejected it.
 
Well my 12:19 - 13:19 DHL (not DHL) just turned up. Better late than never!

Might be asking the obvious here but how do you turn WiFi off? I’m on the iCloud sign in screen getting this error message, but unable to pull down from the control centre etc to turn WiFi off
My situation seemed a bit different, as I was able to bypass all the settings from restoring from a Mac backup.

I image you may be able to set it up as a new phone without signing in to iCloud at all. It does give you a few options after failing to sign in though.

Alternatively, maybe turning off your WiFi router could allow it to connect to a hotspot?
 
Anyone else having problems setting up their 17 Pros? I am trying to set mine up using my old iPhone 15 Pro and when I try to log in to my new phone during setup - I am getting a "verification failed" message when entering my Apple account password. I've tried various times and it always fails. Getting a little peed off now, and haven't had my evening meal yet!!
 
Bit of a weird one. Got my one hour time slot with DPD first thing this morning, then saw the driver had been delayed, didn't get a specific time, just that the aim was for things to still to be delivered by 17:07 (weirdly specific). Waited around, as was working from home, only for nothing to turn up by 17:30 and then saw the online tracker had been updated to say delivery was now expected on Monday. Spoke to the DPD online chat and apparently the driver was involved in a security incident, which leads me to assume maybe the driver/his van was intercepted, and packages were stolen, so I'll take Monday's delivery date with a pinch of salt!

Puts things into perspective, hope the driver is okay!

Yes I had this on a 17 and a pro max today. I changed to hotspot off my old phone rather than home WiFi and it worked, no idea why

Holding power button and selecting Shutdown worked find for me when I switched it back on :)

How did you manage it?

I went to the Apple Store in Battersea Power Station, I spoke to the chap holding the iPad. He reserved me one and sent me an email.

I came back at the allotted time and said I wanted to sign up for the Upgrade Programme and they processed it. No fuss.

I think in the future I’ll be able to reserve one via the app but seemingly you can’t reserve an iPhone without already being a member. Apparently you could in previous years but not anymore.

Seems a lot of people with this issue - try turn off / on the phone - decline the offer to setup with another phone, when you get to the wifi selection screen connect to your old phones hot spot, this got me past this page, then I could continue to next page when I could restore from iCloud.
