Good morning, noble warriors of delivery day! Today, destiny calls some of you to a sacred battle: the relentless stalking of a weary delivery driver as they traverse the kingdom one doorstep at a time. May your inner child scream with glee as though it were Christmas morning, and may your sanity endure the cruel torment of tracking updates that mock you with ‘out for delivery’ since 7 a.m. The madness is upon us—let the saga commence!

Amazon are weird.
I ordered some AirPods P3 and they said 'due 19th September' and 'Order Received'
Today my card was charged. Still says 'Order Received'
BUT - I can see a tracking number, and the packing slip on my account.

No delivery date. I noticed they'd clearly sold out yesterday and said 'unavailable' but now they're showing is stock but delivery date is another week or so even on Prime.

I messaged and asked what was up- they said they dont know but it's in stock.. sorry for the pain and added a tenner credit (good!) but I assumed my card being charged meant they would be dispatched.

odd.

That exact same thing happened to my watch, I cancelled it yesterday and re ordered because they added stock for next day delivery yesterday and now it’s coming today.

how long did it take? i started this "transfer" process over an hour ago (the actual eSIM transfer, not the data transfer on the phone) and i still have no service on either phone. thank you!

It took about 5 minutes, I got a couple of emails from o2 during the process as well to tell me it was transferring

Temporary case ordered while Amazon ship my TechWoven from Germany 🤪

Hopefully the fact it’s only £9.99 means it still has a tiny bit of protection

I know how bizarre this is going to sound, but has anyone heard a sound coming from your finger scrolling the screen?
I have a 17 pro max, it was plugged in, and whichever thumb I use there's an occasional and very quiet "buzzing" - sounds about like electric static type noise. It's so quiet, you wouldn't hear it if there's any other noise.
Did it with both thumbs, and happens with whichever part of my thumb I used. It stopped when I unplugged my phone.
I thought maybe it was a rough bit of skin "scratching" the screen but I don't think it is.
Reminded me a little bit of the "buzz" when gently touching metal parts of something plugged in, like my old 2012 MacBook Pro did.

No... never, but I'd visit the Apple store with what you use to charge your phone and reproduce this behaviour to them. It could be a faulty unit; you shouldn't get any buzzing feeling when using the phone while charging.

It’ll be because it’s charging and it’s aluminium, all my Apple products that are do the exact same and I’ve always wondered why. iPad and MacBook Pro the same.

It should not be doing that; either the phone/iPad has a defect, or the charger/cable needs replacing.

Well took about 3 hours after it wouldn’t verify and I had to set up from scratch my phone it pretty much set up to my liking. ESR screen protector went on well and in an Apple clear case although may switch to a Spigen. Loving the orange.

Going to pick up Black AWU3 later although I’m getting the black Milanese strap I’ll have to use my old orange Alpine loop😆

Is anyone noticing better mobile network signal with their Air when compared with their old phones?

I don't own one (yet?), but it's something I'm very interested in.
Yes! I don't know if its some sort of placebo effect but I'm on Smarty and I got 4G in my Flat and 5G outside my Flat now I get 5G in my flat its not as fast as outside but it's okay. 4G aoppears to be faster for me but that could be down to other factors I just don't know.

Question for those with a new phone about the new front camera.

If you press the zoom out button, it disables Centre Stage. Fine... but do you have to manually turn it back on (Auto Zoom and Auto Rotate) every time? Bit annoying if so - I'd prefer it to turn back on when you reopen the app at least?
I'm not sure why but I had it in my head it was meant to default to on when you opened the camera app. I'm sure I seen that somewhere but I can't remember where.

Literally every product I’ve had for over a decade has done it or when in an Apple store and they are charging has done it. So either they are all defective or it’s just like that or maybe I’m just a very conductive person 🤣

Never had this on any Apple product

Oh wow, you must have a high conductivity skin, super electric human 😝

Yeah hopefully it's a bug. If you turn it on, it stays on, but if you dare to press the 'zoom out' button it turns off and does not turn back on when you zoom back in, or switch modes and back, or exit and re-enter the camera app - you have to turn both back on yourself.

I hope it's a bug and gets fixed; it is rather annoying that we have to do that every time we use the feature, only for it not to work afterwards.

Maybe you got one of those Temu iPhone Airs @waquzy was talking about

I think it should be illegal - and punishable with a 15 year prison sentence, possibly even bringing back capital punishment - for DPD to have parcels "on its way to our depot" after the sun has risen.

Who is with me?

Patient, my son.

You actually returned your Air? At least you have lasted a day, my Wife returned hers in 20 minutes of use to the store yesterday lol.
Course I didn't 😂 I'll be keeping it for at least 90 days. If I miss the Telephoto from the Pro line by then - mid-December - I'll reluctantly use O2 Switch Up for a Pro.

Hope I don't though as I'm in love with it.
