I cancelled the Pro and reordered it now with a delivery week of October 17th any chance it will come sooner? I notice Argos has more stock now
Why did you cancel and then ordered again?😅 Its impossible to say if it would arrive before 17th. It all depends on Apples “crappy” (yes I am salty) distribution handling, and production. No one knows. Maybe it’ll arrive few days before 17th

I preordered a blue 17 pro max on September 16th to replace a silver 17 pro max that gets a worse signal (-dBm) than my iPhone 16 pro max. My delivery window has been October 8th - October 15th and its just stuck on processing

Yeah just wish they’d move my order along. Hopefully they move it from processing to PTS at some point. It really should have by now. Not sure if there are many before me or they’re not processing orders over the weekend.

Really pleased with O2 this year. Placed my order (17PM 512GB Deep Blue) on September 26th. Picked it up at my local O2 store this morning. So only a week and a day wait from order to delivery.

Why would you call it a myth when its been many users experiences? Just because you have not experienced or observed problems doesn’t mean others hasn’t. 🙄 Its been recommended for years to set up from fresh to avoid passing on problems the other user explains, if you already have problems atleast. If not then you do you. Shrugging it of as a myth is wild to me but thats me
Because it’s a myth, simple as that. You’re claiming that if someone restores from backup - despite the fact there are now multiple ways to do this - that they will end up with an underperforming phone riddled with bugs. It’s a nonsense. While I concede that it is not impossible for an anomaly to occur, particularly if you’re on a beta, for the vast majority of users the restore process is safe and reliable.

No, not every restore from a backup will result in bug or a buggy phone. But sometimes, bugs can be transferred during a restore. Hence, as part of troubleshooting steps, as mentioned by the poster above, support will suggest a fresh install. To prevent this, I do a fresh install annually, as I also enjoy setting up from now and exploring settings that I had forgotten about and new settings too. This method means I get the best experience and no risk of bugs on my brand new iPhone.

And I am telling you its not a myth. If you have never experienced it you have no experience and its clear you don’t understand the causes either. Believe what you want.

Trying to source another Silver 17 Pro 256GB that isn't from an Apple store.

Every retailer seemingly out of stock in silver, but a few places stocking blue and orange (Currys, Argos).

John Lewis show stock for silver, but when I submit payment get an "out of stock" message.

Argos have one single unit in stock at a store too far away from me.

Anyone know anywhere (other than Apple) who have current stock of a 256GB Silver 17 Pro?

If you join that's near enough the fee is the discount on the iPhone
I didn't know you could buy an online-only membership. Still works out to £1117, but will keep it in mind for future. Appreciate the tip, not in a major rush but if I can't find one elsewhere I may fall back on that one.

Hopefully Argos/Currys/Amazon re-stock in the next few days.

Anyone have an idea when the new 40W Apple Dynamic Power Adapter will come to the UK?

Apologies if it’s already been asked 🫣

Hopefully we'll see it at some point - just had a look online and there's seemingly no mention of a timeline as of now.

Whilst it's not dynamic in any way, shape or form I did manage to snag a Google 45w brick for £16.20 (incl. staff discount) the other day.

Does anyone have any bad experience with currys? I bought the cosmic orange on their webiste on 1st oct (showing collect in store date 3rd oct). Nothing arrive yet.. still showing "in progress" on my order.. i am thinking of cancelling the order..

Argos right now (just after midnight on Monday) have stock of the 17 Pro in various colours and storage sizes for next day delivery. Just ordered a silver 256gb.

06-13 still processing. I should’ve just gone with a collection rather than sit around and watch paint dry

Lots of bad experiences over the years. They have a track record of letting people down unfortunately!
