I assume the Beats case is silicone? How grippy is it compared to Apple's? The consensus was Beats cases are notoriously slippy, I'm glad they've added textured grip, but the upper half is it sticky silicone?

It's always going to work out dearer than using 0% finance and sticking your own sim in.

I pay £14 a month with EE for unlimited everything. What's the advantage of going direct with the network for the iphone?
Most of the time, but not always which is why I like to have a bit of time ahead of the order window to look at my options. Seems the networks are onto us though and keep the info secret until the last second.

Previously, I have been cheaper going with EE for my iPhone contract over two years (with anytime upgrade), bundling in my discount and perks (including an otherwise £30 sport subscription I’d have to pay for). In that scenario, it has made sense for me.

Yes, same thing happened to me! Although when I check under 'Devices' it shows my 16 Pro Max as being in the Upgrade Programme. Mind you, it still says you have to wait until 13:00 on Friday (12 Sept) to make a reservation online and then go into the store to complete...
Ah great, that's reassuring as in not just me then!!

I only used one of my Spigen screen protectors on the 16PM - I notice the Amazon listing now has the same one listed for both 16PM and 17PM. Does that mean I can use the spare from my last phone? Are the front dimensions identical?

Yes, the dimensions are unchanged from last year.

No. Its Matt finished not so riggid plastic feel. Its really nice.

I umm'd and ahh'd over which colour I wanted, but I've prepared the Silver iPhone 17 Pro for preorder on the Apple Store app.

I'm also going on holiday tomorrow... so I'm hoping the app will work whilst I'm in the airport!

Do the Armorite protectors normally work ok with cases? I have a Torro leather wallet case ordered and the Belkin ones don't cover the screen borders.
They seem to work fine with the cases I've tried on my 15PM which have a small lip around the front screen and even with the tough rugged cases with an additional front piece nothing seems to interfere, there is just a minimal gap around the edge to allow for cases

I’ve went with the following screen protectors as they claim anti-glare and a matte coating;
BENKS 2 Pack Matte Screen Protector for iPhone 17 Pro Max (6.9", 2025), Anti-Glare Tempered Glass Film Anti-Fingerprint, Scratch Resistant, Bubble-Free Installation Tool Included https://amzn.eu/d/5BsV0Og

If it’s not great and makes the screen look dark, I’ll just go without one and pay the £25 fee for a new screen if it gets scratched up.

Air. My spigen clear case comes today. Skipping the screen protector and I’ll go with applecare for a whlie and only use the case out and about.

My only uncertainty is colour. The white reminds me of my iphone X but maybe too safe. The blue seems nice but I’m struggling to find good photos/video of it to compare.

will trade in my 15 pro max. annoyingly Music Magpie dropped the price by £40 overnight which is expected but i’d forgotten to lock in my 21 days before the event so I’ll take Apple’s figure for simplicity.

no telephoto and slightly smaller screen is probably the only thing I’ll miss from the pro max. won’t miss the weight though. single speaker don’t care nearly always on airpods

I can't decide either. Currently got the blue locked in but uhming and ahing if I want the white instead.

ok switched from

- blue air; trade in 15 pro max; pay balance in full; applecare monthly
to
- white air; trade in 15 pro max; £21pm 0%; applecare monthly (total £29pm). I’ll put my £500 back in my savings

Just afraid the AIR battery will be like the 16 Pro which is NOT good IMO! That leads me to chose a PRO, not sure which!!
To be honest, the colours for this year pro’s are unique to their own user base, which ever one you pick, will be the right one for you.

If I pre-order the iPhone for collection in-store and have selected to pay in full and supplied my card details, when does my card actually get charged?
