Thank you! Are you an iPhone Air renegade too? 😄
Another iPhone Air renegade! Welcome, soldier!
If you pre order with your Credit Card what are the chances of the bank cancelling the 2nd order when your processing it at 1pm?
I mean, why on earth does Apple not allow us to put for example 2 iPhones into the pre order basket for one total payment to be made on the day?
Having to order two separate phones with separate payments will occasionally set the alarm bells ringing with you provider on the 2nd due to a large payment on the first…then your frantically searching for your back up card to enter the payment!
Yeah I'm moving from the IUP to just doing the monthly financing. IUP is a little bit more restrictive - have to have AC+, financing over 20 months instead of 24, and if you choose to upgrade you have to hand over your old phone there and then.I don’t quite understnad the iup. I’m updating from the 15 pro max to the air - with trade in its £21pm 0%. I’ll get applecare on top but that can be monthly and I can cancel it separately. it seems pretty much the same overall cost just buying outright (with 0%) and then trading against a new phone if you want to? basically rolling your own iup?
Not necessarily - e.g. I've just checked the trade-in value of my 256GB iPhone 16 Pro Max. Theoretically my loan balance would be £550 (12 monthly payments of £45.79/month) on a total loan of £1,099. Apple are currently offering £600 to trade it in, so I'd pay off the loan and also get £50 towards the purchase of the new one.with normal 0% monthly you would have to pay the loan balance which would be more because your trade in value will have significantly reduced compared to the price of the phone.
The difference with iUP to Monthly Payments is that when it comes to upgrading after 11 months, with iUP the remaining loan balance is automatically covered and you get to start a new contract with the next phone, whereas with normal 0% monthly you would have to pay the loan balance which would be more because your trade in value will have significantly reduced compared to the price of the phone.
iUP is better if you see yourself upgrading yearly, 24 month payments are better if you see yourself fulfilling the full loan term.
I'm getting the PM in silver for 2 reasons; timeless classic Apple, and when it goes in a case the silver plateau will go with any colour.I’m surprised there’s so few interested in the pro or Pro Max in silver? To me it looks timeless and classy. I just think I would get sick of the blue for example
Saw Zollo's first look at these on YT and convinced myself I'll go this route instead of silicone. I don't like fingerprints on the darker silicone cases like the blue and purple so this techwoven will eradicate this issue. Problem is I like the sienna, blue AND purple! Those look amazing. That the pm?
Pre Pre Order done. BPF done. iPhone 17 Pro Max 256 in Cosmic Orange. Coming from a iPhone 15 Pro Max 256 in Blue Titanium. Got offered £480 for trade in. Can I change the colour? Still deciding between blue and orange! Decisions, decisions.
Yeah, Sounds good with the case you mentioned. I’m going down to 512gb because until recently I used up most of the space ( iCloud Photos weren’t optimized ) and were locally stored and had only 30GB left. So optimized the photos and now have only used 153gb. This 256gb will suffice moving forwardI tend to go with the white/silver as the bump is neutral and goes with every case. Think I’ll get the terracotta silicone case.
I’m on 256 with 100GB free but I’ve noticed how much clearer downloaded music is compared to music streamed over cellular, especially in my car, so may go 512 and download all the music I want.
