Had those too. And a treo 650 (palm). Can't remember which was my earliest smartphone, I just remember my last non smartphone was a Nokia 6310i. Alongside a Psion 5MX I think ;)
I am feeling my age, dude. It feels like all those phones were used just last week, such nice phones and memories.

I know it’s because Apple knows that people who want a launch-day phone will order it no matter what. But it really does bother me that they can’t just throw a couple of dummy models into even some stores before the pre-orders go live so that you get an opportunity to have a look at them. I suppose their argument would be that they’re all coming to the store on lunch day and then you may just have to wait a short period of time until you can get a phone when they’re back in stock. But I mean it would be nice to be able to go in and even see the colour options, even if they don’t have the actual phones. Even if they had a back plate with the colours on the materials that they are going to use that year, it would be nice just so you get a rough idea because it is quite difficult to see from a video on YouTube or random pictures that people have taken to judge for yourself, never mind the advertising pictures that Apple use; the colours never look the same as what’s on the website to what it is in real life.
Agree - I bet a bunch of people pre-order a bunch of options because they can't see them before hand

Believe it or not I've still got a 5MX. And it works. Keyboard hinge has gone of course but hey ho. I should dig it out..

Indeed we are, for reference this was my first smartphone!

I think the SE P910i was mine.

I haven’t done a pre-order since the launch of the Apple Watch. Yup, I’m that excited about the Air. (Just got my first Calendar notification to get ready for the opening of pre-orders.)

Ugh, but then that long wait for delivery … and the terror of finding out which courier you got. And which delivery number you are …

Yeah, I was going to say that: they'll send a couple of reminder emails but if you don't send it by the deadline they just cancel the trade-in.
yeah just ignore it.

i was going to trade in a family members old iPad for them but they decided they wanted to give it to someone. they'll cancel the trade in.

the only thing is if you signed up for financing because the discount is immediately applied then you will get charged that value.

for example, i'm going with financing for the 17 Pro Max and my 15 Pro Max value is £475. If I don't send it in then Apple will charge my card £475.

If you're paying in full then there is nothing to worry about.

I thought Sky Blue would be the most popular option for the Air. Seems like Space Black is
