I'm glad I just logged in to check my order status, it's suddenly requesting new payment authorization as Apple Pay (linked to a virtual card on Starling Bank) got declined.
It took four attempts to pay with my regular card before the Starling app popped up 'you card is blocked, click here if this transaction was you'...
And finally it went through, which is annoying as if I hadn't checked, then surely I'd have missed my 19th delivery slot!

I’ve now had the same text from o2 10 times now and the same on email 9 times. 🤣 definitely something weird going on with their system.

We need to let you know the delivery of your order (no:). is taking longer than expected. Sorry. It should be with you between Up to 1 week.

They need to get whoever writes their copy to have a word with themselves.

My iPhone 17 is coming anywhere from 24-29th it says, my first iPhone in about ten years!. Going to pick up my MagSafe charger tomorrow as that thing is at the pick up locale already.

That is exactly what happened to me, glad you sorted it out as well!

Well, after the fiasco that happened yesterday with my original order, being the declined because of using Apple Pay and my bank decided to block the card, they assumed it was a fraudulent transaction so I’m just double checking and triple checking making sure everything will run smoothly this time, also I spoke to Apple representative again now confirming that everything is fine and I spoke to my bank fraud team again checking that no block has re-added to the card for the transaction and it should be all clear.

Calling me overcautious, I guess I am.

I’m going caseless for the first time, but still unsure about going screen protectorless to prevent scratches rather than drop protection. For those who don’t use a screen protector, how was your experience? I’d be keeping the phone a few years rather than upgrading every year.
I use Apple’s clear cases but I don’t like screen protectors. My 3 year old 14 Pro is still scratchless.

Has anyone ordered through Amazon or John Lewis? Just wondered if it gives you an idea or delivery when you order or if you need to wait till release day to find out? Both Amazon and John Lewis can delivery to my local Waitrose which is really handy but don’t want to order with them only to find they don’t have any stock for a month!

I've always found Amazon will delivery the day of or day after release. That's been my experience

I'm very tempted with the 17 Pro Max in Orange just because, well it's orange 🤔😂

But cannot justify paying that over my current 14 Plus because it does all I need as I'm not a power user at all (simply calls, sms, WhatsApp, Apple Music, emails, YouTube etc)

I've sent my S25U back for a refund. It's crashed on me 3 times in the last week and twice I've woken up to it being completely dead - backed it up, reset it and still the same issue

So once that's refunded I'll see where my thoughts are then, but may hang on another month or so

My Apple Pay transaction failed on Saturday too…
Had to manually enter card details to get the payment made.

In the red carpet video of Tim Cook at the Emmys where he whips out his 17 Pro, the orange model looked more a fairly light-to-mid salmon to me.

Like with a lot of the colours of iPhones over the years they change a lot under different lighting.
