No wonder I’ve just spent an hour + live chat trying to update my iPhone 11 to eSIM in preparation for my Air on Friday. It’s all sorted now but I must admit I’m a bit nervous about trying to set up my new phone using phone to phone transfer now 😟
don't worry about it. I done it last year and it was painless. my provider did not allow e-sim transfer but I scanned the QR code they gave me for the new phone and it worked flawlessly. I'm with Smarty this year and I just need to do a sim swap in the app for a new device e-sim and were off...

This is the case I bought for my 17PM, just arrived yesterday, I am loving it, sticking to my always favourite option ( Leather ) and full coverage.

Have many people been using eSIM for a while now? Getting the Air I’ve gotta convert to an eSIM with EE. Bit dubious about potential issues having never done the process before or used an eSIM

I am still using a SIM on my main number, however, 2nd number is eSIM.

Been on eSIM for a while and transferred to new phones easily with EE, O2 and Vodafone.

I have a Voxi eSIM and never had any problems, when you remove it from your old phone they email you a new QR Code to scan on the new phone almost immediately.

Been esim for a while. According to vodafone if you do the side by side setup, it transfers automatically - but if there is any issue and your old one gets deleted, they automatically email you a QR code to set up on your new phone. Never had an issue. Very convenient for travelling too

Morning All, Has anyone seen any info if it will be possible to reserve new iPhone for release day on the morning of @ 6am as per previous years? I believe there used to be a page on the Apple Store confirming this but not seen anything this year.

read through the EE thread which i used to take part in. carriers really do rip people off badly now. see people spending £113 and £120 a month on these iphones is just a joke. no idea why people don't just go sim only and buy the iphones. not like there isn't always for buy now pay later if people don't want to spend so much at once

Not been on there for ages lol.

EE started charging extra for devices last year. RIP off indeed it is.

I’ve been on that game for 10+ years – SIM only, and buy the phone outright. My wallet’s been living its best life while everyone else is financing the network bosses homes.

Some folks dont do their research. All they want is a shiny new iPhone.

Id rather pay that £60 upfront for iUP and do it that way.

The iPhone i want is £70.45 a month on iUP.

I will pay EE £74 a month for the same phone with the full works plan.

12 months in I will settle my contract for £400-500 and keep the phone and flog it on eBay.

Last year after taking into account flogging the phone it came to £538 to use the iPhone for 12 months AND have the 12 month EE Full Works plan.

Total: 44 a Month for a 16 Pro Max INCLUDING my EE Plan.

They bill credited me for 1 month because I had bad service so if I also took this into account the cost is unbelievable.

Follow these steps every year and it’s the #1 way to have the new iPhone.

Obviously there’s the hassle of selling on eBay, making sure your phone condition is good throughout the year etc and you would benefit from EE F&F.
