I’ve been on that game for 10+ years – SIM only, and buy the phone outright. My wallet’s been living its best life while everyone else is financing the network bosses homes.
iPhone 7 was my last contract phone. makes no sense to me. same phone over 2 years is £130 more, yes you have the outlay, even if I wanted to spread it would just add to my 0% credit card and pay £42 interest and the tariff is cheaper on SIM only

I am one of the ‘refresh app’ brigade and didn’t get through bang on 1pm (I was also in Holland trying to order) I and got bumped a few days- ordered orange 1tb PM processing but says 24-29th September.

I can’t see anyone saying their dates have moved earlier in the previous posts however I remain hopeful and not obsessed. Honest.

Maybe tomorrow you will get lucky, good luck.

My last phone order was the 15 Pro Max and what's interesting is that they either were able to provide more stock this year or having a new offering reduced the demand per phone type. I ordered late so I'm part of the Oct 6 - 13th crowd but I know that when orders start getting fulfilled a lot of people either pick up in store and cancel their order or the dates get bumped up due to more stock. Most early orders will be fulfilled within the first week and I'm expecting my phone around the week of the 29th :) or first week of Oct.

I jumped that ship in 2014. I am on EE and actually have a contract that also gives me 'free' Netflix Premium. I pay £25 I think but everything is included and I am paying for the phone outright, although this year I did the 0% Finance, but can pay off at any time.

Yeah, I’ve been sim only for years. I upgrade my phone every year directly from Apple with no hassles and no worries. I exchange my phone each year and pay to cover the difference.

I don’t think I can update the delivery dates. If so I’ll get it yesterday ;)
As an example, I ordered the AirPods 3 right when pre-orders opened, but getting it on the 23rd has not changed. This is for the AirPods 3, so the likelihood on phones is a lot slimmer, but you never know! Someone might cancel and bump you up the list.

I started buying my phones outright since the iPhone 3GS era. ;)

Amazon UK have them (AirPods) for pre order - not sure if they are delivered on the 19th but I assume they will be the 20th.

I was surprised to see the delivery slip so quick on the APP3.

Ya, I am just as shocked by how the dates slip, and I don't think I'll move down and get it sooner, but honestly, I am not that fussed about it.

Apparently, I am mentally 5 years old, because I just realised my pre-orders arrive in… wait for it… TWO DAYS.

Me, until two seconds ago: “Cool, we’ve got ages to wait. I can become a Zen master in the meantime.”

Also me, just now: “WHAT?! TWO DAYS?! My entire life has been a lie. I have aged 3 years in this realization.”

Somehow, my brain thought we had forever… clearly it’s auditioning for a role in a drama called “How to Torture Yourself Waiting for Stuff.”
