I applied for both of my rebates together as stated at the bottom of this FAQ here

So how did you send it?

One envelope: MacBook EAN, iPod EAN, Order receipt
2nd envelope: MB EAN copy, Printer EAN, Order receipt

The Order receipt, is it a print out of the online one? Or the one you get with the box, I'm confused.

Thanks

I sent the invoice (printed from the on-line store), barcodes for the Macbook, printer and iPod and the two claim forms all in one envelope.

Thats what I was going to do too but when I printed of the forms after step 4 they have the same address except the printer is to be sent to "apple rebates" and the iPod to "back to school".

Will probably ask apple chat tomorrow, most likely will just have to choose one of the two and maybe put in an accompanying letter.

I sent my iPod and printer rebate claims together about 3 weeks ago and last week got an email saying they hadn't received it yet. Any idea what's going on? I sent my first class post not recorded. I've written them a letter to ask what's happening with it but anyone got any idea here?

So are people actually changing the postcode to HR9 9WA themselves before sending or are you sticking with the Apple one of HR9 7WA?

I sent it to HR9 7WA, but it went recorded delivery and the post office changed it to 9WA on the sticker they put on.

I've been told my rebate has been successful etc etc and the money has been paid to me. How long do I need to wait for it to show up? It's been about 4-5 business days now.

I sent my stuff off last week and just got an email from apple saying that they hadn't received the documentation yet. I too have sent it to the wrong post-code (that Apple gave us) and posted it 1st class. Never occurred to me that I should send it recorded!!!! Woops!
Does anyone know of a number I can phone so I can actually speak to someone about this or do you just phone AppleCare. Losing £95 isn't really on the top of my list of things I'd like to happen right now so want to make sure I get the rebate!!

Don't worry about that - trust me. I sent mines recorded and I got that 'not received' email. What was even funnier (not really) was that I wasn't able to track my recorded item via Royal Mail 7 days after posting it - which obviously got me worried.

You should get another email from Apple in the next few days saying they've processed your application.

If you don't hear from them, I also (just as a backup) went to my local Apple Store and the manager told me that if I can provide him with a letter from Royal Mail stating they've lost my letter... they would reimburse me with £95 in-store. However, to my suprise, I got the processed e-mail when I got home.

I've already sent an e-mail to Apple stating their rebate system is an absolute joke.

Ditto. There's no contact information whatsoever for the rebate guys so I just wrote them a letter. The problem is, I can't remember what post code I sent it to! I guess I just copy + pasted the address in the reminder email 7WA. So what's the right address? Surely Apple has a responsibility to honour our rebates if something is lost because of this? I didn't need the iPod - I just took it since it was going to work out really cheap. Same with the printer although I am using it now. If we're out of pocket because of Apple's mistake then that's not on.

Seriously, what a screw up on apple's part. if that 7WA is the wrong adress, they still indicate it on the confirmation mails.

Mine has been sent to the HR9 7WA postcode, it has arrived and has been signed for. I'm sure it'll work out. If not, I'm not done with Apple yet. I'll call them just to be sure. (I called Apple last week, and the guy here in Holland wasn't even aware of the adress!)

I know this is just another marketing trick to make it as hard as possible for customers to actually get the rebate, but that put aside this is a really dirty method.

Thanks Samurai, I hope you are right. I will wait it out for a few days but if I haven't heard anything by Friday then I will make the trip to the Apple Store. It's a bit a trek though so hopefully I won't have to! I would hope that because so many people are in the same situation if it does come down to it they will be lenient about time etc. Nice to know that there is the retail backup there anyway.

So did you guys send 2 envelopes or just 1 for both the ipod and printer rebates. Please help me as I need to send them off as soon as possible :-s

I phoned up Apple and they said if I said just one envelope containing the ipod and printer rebates, it will reach the right place.

I just hope I was given correct information :/.

I got my rebate and didn't include EAN from neither Macbook nor iPod. Just sent them the receipt and online form printout.

Do you by any chances know which address should I send it to ? Back to shool or Apple Rebates ?

I sent both iPod and Printer rebate forms to the Back to School address on 31 October - both in the same envelope. MacBook bar-code was attached to the iPod Rebate form and cross-referenced the iPod rebate number on the Printer rebate form.

Last Thursday I got an email confirmation that the money for the iPod had been processed.

Presumably in the next couple of days I should receive confirmation of the Printer rebate....

If you are applying for both I would put both in the same envelope and use the iPod rebate address (though apart from the first line it is the same address..)

Just checked my bank account and Apple has successfully paid me £95. I can now safely put this iPod on eBay :D

How did you cross-reference the printer form ? Write on it or just stick a note on it ? Thanks

On the Printer form it says to attach the barcode from the printer (which I did) and then where the MacBook barcode should have been I wrote the iPod Back to School reference number. I did the online claim and it produces the appropriate claim forms complete with reference numbers.

Hope that helps - but I have not heard anything yet about my printer rebate - but at least I have not had a rejection (yet) or a "where is your rebate claim" e-mail (yet)...

Guys,

I I have printed off my online invoice, I have scanned the barcodes (will scan be sufficient?) I dont really want to rip the barcode off just incase it get lost and I cant make another copy.

So then I just send the scanned copies off?

i think they want the proper ones, sadly you should cut them out, making a mess of those lovely boxes!

Hi, did you print out and send the invoice that Apple sent to your email or the one in the apple store with the name "Duplicate invoice" on it ?

I just wonder 'cause they ask for original invoice !

And did you stick all the claims for ipod or printer together or just stuff all in the envelope ?

Thank you so much, I will send mine off tomorrow, hopefully everything will be alright

Hi, did you print out and send the invoice that Apple sent to your email or the one in the apple store with the name "Duplicate invoice" on it ? I printed off the invoice that Apple e-mailed me - W-numbered one.

I just wonder 'cause they ask for original invoice ! There is no such thing when you buy on-line or over the phone ! If you buy in-store at an Apple Store there would be.

And did you stick all the claims for ipod or printer together or just stuff all in the envelope ? Stapled bar-codes and copy invoice to the appropriate claim forms and put them in one envelope (no covering letter)

Thank you so much, I will send mine off tomorrow, hopefully everything will be alright

Have you done the online claim form bit ? One of the questions they ask is for the invoice number - and then you have to print off and send them a copy !!!

Hi, I posted my things about a week ago, and today got this from apple:

With reference to your recent claim for above promotion, we are
unable to continue processing your rebate because we have not yet
received the required documentation needed to validate your
claim.

I am getting quite worried, as i did not send the stuff recorded delivery, just bunged on a 1st class stamp and popped it in the post box.

should i give them a call?
