Got my printer rebate processed :D

Hang in there guys, their e-mail system is a shambles. For those who posted first class, hang on in there - you will get the email.

I think some others are in the same position as me. I posted the the 7WA (apparently wrong) address about 2 weeks ago and all I have heard so far is that they've not received anything. Should I wait it out or do something?

Can someone just confirm I need to send this to 9WA? Not 7WA like what is written everywhere...?

The postcode has changed from 7WA to 9WA - I was sending my rebate form recorded delivery and when the person looked up the postcode it advised her that it had changed so she changed it on my envelope. I don't think it matters TOO much, but if you want to be 100% correct, put 9WA.

i posted my stuff 2 weeks ago, got an email from apple a few days ago saying they still hadn't received the stuff, i phoned them and they suggested it either has not been processed or lost in the post, getting very worried, as there are only 2 weeks left to get the rebate!

anyone else had similar problems?

I had similar issues, don't worry - read through my previous posts on this thread and you'll understand ;)

Yeah I'm in exactly the same position. I posted mine about 3 weeks ago and got the "not yet received" email last week. Staff at the Apple store assure me it's just not been processed yet because of the high number of rebate applications just now, but I'm not so sure. Posters in this thread seem to have had theirs processed sooner, and I did post to the Apple-supplied incorrect 7WA address. Naturally I'll be writing to Apple to make sure I get what I'm owed, but hopefully it'll work itself out. I'll give them another week.

I sent both of my rebate claims together to the supplied address (7WA) on 5th November (addressed to Apple Rebates). I sent it by recorded delivery.

My iPod rebate has just been approved, but my printer rebate is still pending.

Hi, just wondering if apple sent you an email saying that the iPod was approved, or did you have to check it yourself?

Hi - I got an email from Apple confirming my rebate had been approved about a week after posting the iPod and printer rebates.

However I had to return my printer (because it was faulty) after I had applied for the rebate and discovered that I had ticked the wrong box when I did the on-line rebate.

For all those who applied for both rebates online :

I did the iPod rebate first and selected "yes" to the "are you sending the bar-codes for the items purchased" question. It then produces a claim form for the iPod rebate.

I then went back on to do the Printer rebate and faced with the same question "are you sending the bar-codes for the items purchased" I ticked "yes". What I should have done was select "no" and it would have asked for the reason (another rebate application) and asked for that claim reference number to tie the two claims together.

So, my claim will require "manual intervention" to process the Printer rebate - and I assume that I am not alone in this. I think this explains why there is a delay in processing the Printer rebate. Most of us have received the iPod rebate but heard nothing about the second rebate.

Of course since I had to get the printer replaced my claim will be rejected since the item was returned. When I get the rejection e-mail I have to forward it to someone at Apple (who will forward it to someone else) and then after a bit more "manual intervention" I will receive the rebate....

Just got confirmation for both of mine, over 3 weeks since I posted them. Phew! Just wait it out guys.

When sending the printer and ipod rebates, i ticked yes in both boxes on both forms, then put them in an envelope to the same place.

my friend, who didnt do the printer rebate (just iPod) sent his stuff off a week after me, and got a conformation email today... I'M ANGRY!

Same here, after 3 weeks waiting, after frighten by the automatic stupid email, finally I got the confirmation email for the ipod rebate. Still waiting for the printer one...Darn!

Anyone else get an e-mail to say that they had got their second rebate yet. My iPod one was processed a couple of weeks ago and today I got confirmation that the Printer rebate had been sent to my bank.

My second rebate should have required "manual intervention" - maybe it did.

Both rebates were sent in same envelope (3 weeks ago !!).

I got the e-mail from Apple reminding me that they haven't received any documentation so I called up and spoke to someone who looked up the rebate status and said that it had been processed and a cheque would be with me in a few weeks - the website status still shows that they haven't received anything!

I applied for the ipod rebate 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I received an email from Apple stating that my rebate had been processed, and when I get my bank statement, the money IS indeed in there. However, what's strange about this situation is that I never sent the form and product codes off in the post. I had everything ready, but I got the email (and subsequent bank transfer) before I even had the chance to visit the post office.

I've been told my rebate has been successful etc etc and the money has been paid to me. How long do I need to wait for it to show up? It's been about 4-5 business days now.

It took 5 business days for my rebate to arrive in my bank account, exclusive of the day that I received the confirmation email.

Posted it off about 2 weeks ago. No email or anything but I have been too busy to worry about it

Got a cheque in the post 2 days ago, now paid in

I have a slightly different postcode problem.

Filled in the form online to make the ipod claim, however I put my own postcode wrong as I have just moved house. I put the right address in but my old postcode. OK fine I thought, I've not sent my labels off yet so I'll phone them and get them to change the postcode. However for some reason they have already sent my cheque on the 19th according to their status update:

"Your claim has been approved on 19.11.08 and is scheduled for immediate payment."

I've not even sent them my EAN labels & invoices! I had no email earlier this week to say it had been processed.

Does the above actually mean what it implies? or is there no way they would send the cheque without the labels?

As an aside - why are people waiting for cheques "in the post" then banking them ?

Apple give you the option of having the money paid straight into your bank account.

Quicker, simpler and one less thing to get lost in the post.

Exactly, I used the bank transfer to save me time.

i went into the applestore yesterday and made a bit of a fuss:

guess what, apple couldnt do anything because its 'an outside company that deal with the rebates, not apple'.

after slowly talking through every part of the rebate system with them, they did ring up some number, and the person on the other end just said there is a huge backlog, and not to worry about those nasty emails as they are automated.

in the Terms and Conditions they suggest a rebate may take up to 6 weeks, mine has taken 4 already.

I've recieved my ipod check about a week ago..
My printer rebate is still being processed though (I mailed both of them at the same time in seperate envelopes). I had to photocopy the macbook EAN number and I was worried there might be a problem with that.
I guess we'll wait and see

I'm in almost the exact opposite situation than most of you.

I ordered my new MacBook Pro and iPod from the online Apple Store (the day after the new MacBooks came out), filled in the rebate form online stating that yes, I would indeed send them a printed copy of the form and all relevant EANs etc, didn't, and got the cheque through the post last week. I've cashed it, but haven't actually checked yet to see if it bounced.

VERY jealous!
