UK New iPad Thread.

It said the 19th when you ordered it? And still says the 19th? Hmmm... got bad news for you, it probably won't ship until the 26th. :rolleyes:

Yes it said when I was to order and still says dispatched by 19th March.
Too bad if I would need to wait a week longer :(

But still one week is not that bad.. Hope I'll get it in March :rolleyes:

Interestingly I've got a UPS shipping number for an ipad 2 which should be delivered the 13th according to apple, yet the UPS info says the 16th...

Would be quiet cool if they messed that order up for an Ipad 3 lol
 
Just to let you all know, my credit card has just been charged
Payment was previously only just authorised.
Must be on it's way.

Ooo. Looks like mine went sometime yesterday evening (at least, it's listed as on the 12th. Didn't show up when I looked after I got home yesterday). As well as several other bills. My bank account is looking less healthy than before.

My credit card has now been charged... it hadn't last night when I went to bed. Feels like Christmas is on its way lol. Only 3 more sleeps ha ha:D

My money went out on the 12th. Once apple didn't take the money out of my account until a few days after delivery.
 
The Apple page says I should get mine by 16th but my money has yet to be taken.

I ordered at 11:50pm on the 7th. iPad 4g 32gb Black no customisation.

I ordered it at about 1am. Should be arriving on the 16th. Just waiting for the TNT tracking to kick in
 
There's an awful lot in this thread about pre-orders. What about retail availability? Anyone know which authorised resellers will be offering it on Friday, and at what time?

Money taken as of yesterday from my card, billed to apple...I expect the ipads to be on the road from tomorrow!
 
Ok.. well Apple did have a hold on the money in my account, but now it's been released and so no hold and they haven't taken it out of my account.
 
Syncreon Technology Tracking - wrong address

Hello All

Love this thread!

Mine is still showing as being in the hands of Syncreon. When I check on their tracking site it hasn't moved since the 10th but, (and this is the real point of my post), my shipping address is incomplete on their website!

I spoke to Apple After Sales today and they said they would contact Syncreon to correct the address, (it is correct on my order on Apple's website!).

I'm probably worrying over nothing here but I thought I would mention it.

For anyone else who's is currently with them, you can track it here.

You will need your tracking number and order number to track it.

Im still confused as to why the Apple shipping order reference number for UPS on their confirmation email bears no reference to the real order number which after contacting apple by phone is a 16 digit number beginning 1ZW

Yeah I'm in the same situation. I wouldn't bother of that as delivering inside UK is all about 24hrs.
 
Credit card charges mean nothing btw.

Usuallly when I buy a Mac or something similar, the charge appears sometimes 2 whole weeks later. Its never instant.
 
Online Status still says "Processing Items" and "Delivers 16 March". I ordered a new iPad 16gb WIFI early morning on 8th March, and no status change, yet.

I feel a little forgotten:(

in a very similar position but with a personalised 32gb black wifi & 4G - trying to stop myself checking order status tooooo often...
