Calm down folks, calm down.

The UK store is obviously still not open, so nobody will be ordering right now. So they will not be selling out, you will be able to pre order once its back up.

When I was in the store I saw all the networks there with SIMs available. Seemed odd to me, I suppose they were just normal 3G/HSUPA services.
Ahh Giz UK answers it: http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2012/03/will-the-new-ipads-4g-even-work-here-in-the-uk/

"According to Apple’s vital statistics for the new Retina Display-packing iPad it’ll support LTE on the 700 and 2100MHz bands. On the face of it that’s bad news for us Brits. Our 4G plans might be a little way off still, at least the end of the year, but we’re planning on rolling out LTE on the old analogue TV spectrum, which pulls in at 800MHz, and the 2.6GHz"

At least we don't get shafted this time around unlike last year where US got it 2 weeks earlier.

1. A good movie on love film
2. Google Chrome Auto Reload Add-on set to refresh shop page automatically 5 seconds - No more f5 bashing
3. Beer.

Total Win - Atleast until i can finally get onto the page to order

its prob all the refreshes that's keeping it down though...

The US site seems to be working better now although I can't seem to actually add an iPad to a basket yet - nothing happens after choosing a model.

I started trying as soon as the store opened, as I was on a train, and I kept losing connection, I just kept trying, until about 30 mins later I had finally entered my security number. Then l lost connection again, and when it came back it said it was not sure if the order was successful, and to check my order history.

Then about 30 mins later I had the email confirmation.

Does work; I had no problem going all the way through on the US site, but that's not much use here.

Starting to lose the will to live. I'm refreshing in Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Gave up on iPhone store app as was just crashing.

On the upside, I've updated iOS on my iPad and iPhone.

I'm borderline going nuts. When is this madness going to end? I don't want to fall a sleep and miss out on receiving my new gadget next week.

is this some kind of record for the uk store being down? I usually have given up by now but my stamina is greater this time..
