I ordered on the 15th, I'm hopefully that I am half way there, if only I could put it to the back of my head and move on with normality :p

Ohhh I hate waiting...

Has anyone else ordered on the 15th heard anything?

Mine was due to arrive around the 17th July after ordering it on the 18th June. Got stuck with Barclays UK process not telling Apple of the approval on time. Now it's been processed and it's gone to the back of the queue. ETA 3 - 4 Weeks Delivers 27 Jul, 2012 - 02 Aug, 2012.

Upgrading from 2007 Macbook Pro, another few weeks isn't going to make too much difference. The very nice lady at Apple apologised that this has happened and has offered a token of apology once it has been delivered.

Very nice of them and not too fussed about the new shipping time! Just love their fantastic customer service.

Dear, Apple, I love you.

rMBP, shipped.

Mine currently states the following :

Event Date Description Origin Destination Remarks
02-Jul-2012 14:00:00 GMT Requested Delivery Date
28-Jun-2012 20:48:00 SGT Client Called for Pickup

Does anyone know roughly how long it will take to see some movement?

Thanks

To stop me obsesively looking at the order page, I have a couple of questions :D

Will Apple e-mail when my order changes from Processing to Preparing for Shipping

Also, does it only update in the morning/night or could it be anytime of day?

Many thanks :)

My guess based on recent tracking info generally would be next Friday :)

Apple reckons: Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) Jul 03, 2012

Was trying to find the flight we were booked on and believe it was this one:
http://www.flightstats.com/go/Fligh...onAndStatus&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=co-op

I'm seeing Monday being more reasonable unless Saturday delivery is an option :)

EDIT not entirely sure if this is a commercial flight or not.

Nope - they only email you once it has shipped, and even then there may be an hour between it showing as shipped online and you getting the email.

And yeah, it could change at any time unfortunately!

Yes, they will email you. I just got mine! It can update any time, mine was 19:57, but my move to Preparing clearly happened in the small hours.

What's your tracking info saying on Expediators?

I ordered on the 17th and saying delivered 17th-23rd of July, hoping I get shipment notification early next week if it keeps ahead of schedule as it seems to be now!

The Events tab should show the flight details

Fanks guys! :D

Just means I'm gonna be kept on edge until I go away, don't even know why as there's NO possibility I'll have it before I go away on the 9th, luckily the delivery estimate says 23rd-27th and I'll be coming back on the 23rd so hopefully it'll be waiting for me :)

15/6 order here, good to see 14/6 orders are being prepared/shipped now. Hopefully that means my order will be preparing/shipped by around Wednesday next week!

How long does it take them to normally deliver from China to your doorstep? Seems the Americans are getting it within 24-48 hours. Are we the same?

No, China is a lot closer to the US, especially the West Coast who can get those 24 hour drop-ships.

UK shipping, from my past experience, is usually around 3-5 days depending if there's a merge in transit happening at any point. Plus UPS might get flooded with our current weather.

I've just gone down and came back with my shiny new rMBP (much quicker than waiting another estimated 3 and a bit weeks). They only have the base 2.3 model though. The guy I talked to said they hadn't received any of the middle model yet, didn't comment on the top one.

So if you're after the 2.3 model, then it's probably worth calling them up tomorrow, you might get lucky.

Cheers. Yeah, 2.3 is good enough for me. Will pop down in the morning!

How you getting on with it?

Always thought it was roughly similar, excluding the west coast. My geography sucks.

Based on time zones China is roughly equidistant to the UK and West Coast US. China is GMT+8 and West Coast US is GMT -8

Currently though China is only 7 hours ahead of the UK as they don't do Daylight Saving

I've only looked at the order status 4 times today :p

I ordered on the 18th so I hope it will be shipped next week. I think the guy before me who thinks that orders for the 15th won't be shipped before next week is being reservedly pessimistic ;) as 14th orders are now starting to go so I don't see why the 15th shouldn't be moving before the weekend.

I have also ordered myself a Nokia 808 Pureview because I just have to try that 41MP camera and of course a Google Nexus 7 which will both be with me before the RMBP :p

Mine is on the same "flight" as yours. However, if you look up the flight number "LH7726M/28" you'll find it's actually a cargo road truck that's handling it and not a plane, hence why the estimated arrival time is 7:31am (takes much longer to drive than to fly obviously).

Question for people whose orders have been Dispatched...

How long was the delay between the change to "Preparing for Shipment" and the change to "Dispatched"?
