UK New MacBook Pro Thread.

Congrats to all those that have shipped :)

I have checked my status and its currently on schedule to land at LHR on Monday at 7:31am.

Anyone else on the same flight?

Yes mine shipped too. Ordered on the 14th a MBPR 2.3, 16GB ... estimated here by 6th July.
 
I am really annoyed that my 12th order still is in processing. I need to stop checking these forums because people ordering 3 days after me are getting theres.
Anyway, because I am such a nice guy, I just got an email from John Lewis, they have 4 in stock right now, HURRY!

Should also mention that this is the base model. The only reason I am not buying one is because they do not offer student discount like Apple do.

Sounds like the same as mine and others on here, just a few days behind. The flight goes via Kazahkstan to Frankfurt then by road to Heathrow.

Yep everything looks in order, just transferring all my clobber over now so I can actually do something with it!

First impressions, it's well made, no creaks, pretty light, much lighter than my last macbook pro but still a way off my 11inch air. Screen is good, text is very sharp, images are a little fuzzy but not as bad as I was expecting - The web is still fine to surf. Speed wise everything seems very quick but untill I have some proper software on it I can't tell.

All pretty boring stuff really, I was expecting some beam of light or dry ice as I got it out... but no, nothing...

You can see the scrolling lag in safari but it is such a non issue and will be fixed with an update. Safari in general is very fast, on a 70 meg line it works like a dream. Now I have it in front of me the issues people have reported are really tiny niggles.

Working between the iMac and the retina display I can see right away that the iMac is looking a bit rough... could use a dust too...

For all you base orders from the 12th still waiting... it shouldn't be too long now. I ordered the base at 10am on the 12th, and mine turned to 'prepared for shipping' overnight.

Thanks. That makes sense why there is a 25 hour delay from Frankfurt to LHR - I wonder why it goes by road after all that. Must be cheaper. Do you know roughly how long it should take to deliver from when it gets to LHR? I've got a Merge in transit delivery as I ordere at TB Ethernet adaptor.
