Still waiting for even a solid delivery day for my supplier... Any day now apparently. They received the high end model the last week in June, and despite ordering the lower model at the same time, no news. I've been holding out since April for this bad boy!

I know how you feel. Seems the last few months have been a breeze compared to the last few weeks!

What's most frustrating is the B.T.O. ones seem to be ahead of the stock models. If the internet didn't exist I don't think I would be as agitated as I would be in ignorant bliss... except my supplier would still be winding me up! They ordered 120, maybe that's why?

I dont want a customised one - just the top end 13", s I'll be putting my current SSD into it anyways.

That Out for Delivery (today's date) means it is being delivered to the Apple merging centre today. The requested delivery date is the day they request the UK courier to come and collect, so you should get it around a 2-3 days later.

Mine was delivered to Apple merging centre yesterday and I've still yet to receive the courier tracking information (mine is due to be delivered by Thursday).

You shouldn't have a problem getting a none rMBP anywhere.

Mine is in that exact same batch as well! Can't wait to finally hold it in my hands! I made the mistake of hoping it would magically appear at my doorstep tonight.

Goldstar is the courier used to get items to Apple in the UK, it will then be handed over to UPS for delivery to yourself.

I had the superdrive but cancelled it last Saturday. That took the delivery window down to July 13-19. Its still processing (ordered June 15).

Final delivery was by UPS to the west midlands. As soon as they get it you can expect it the next day. Unless you are in a rural middle of nowhere place like northern scotland. Then I have no idea.

My wife's MBA order was delivered today, so transferring her files should tide me over until my order escapes processing. The sad thing is, I'm more excited than she is that her computer has arrived. Buyers remorse really kicked in for her. Luckily(?), I don't have that problem! =P Glad to hear some of the 16th orders are preparing.

I thought this method worked on any Mac that Lion supports?

Did your Mini come with Lion installed?

The Mini came with Lion installed, but it's a newer version than the image I had made of the Apple Store DMG. The DMG was 10.7.0 whereas the Mini came pre-installed with 10.7.2 (or something like that). So, the Mini would not allow for an install of a version of Lion that it wasn't 'built for'. That's the only explanation I can think of for why the Lion image did not work for the Mini. I guess I could re-download the Lion image to get the latest version for the Mini. Do you think that would work?

hmm i suppose thats better. but seeing as i'd still have to wait and as i want/need the superdrive i'm refusing to change anything. i think they are taking too long on some orders though, and its really getting on my nerves now.

I only needed it to install some software but searching on the internet, I can download it from their website and install it that way. Thats why I removed.

Ah, that makes sense. I'm guessing that you tried to re-install over the existing OS so the installer could see the installed version?

Would it work if you re-formatted first - or does the OS X installer not work like that? I've never done a clean install of OS X. If not, could you re-format by starting the Mini connected to another Mac in Target Disk Mode?
